There is Prey For TheDevill at the cinema too. Idk if i should go and see it or wait for it online. PFTD would've been cute in like 2011 back when possession storylines were trendy. I am in no rush to see it

Konril Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 The Black Phone slander in this thread... far too much. Did Ethan Hawke hurt you?

Companion Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 Loved the Pearl but it is so overrated in this thread. I hate my country's cinema system (?) Jeepers Creepers (wtf is even that) is on theaters for 3 weeks now but Bodies x3 left the screen in a week and also just 4 theaters are showing The Menu in the whole city with 16millions of people.

I had a lot of expectations given some of the acclaim I read online, but it left me a bit disappointed. It starts off really solid (and Bill is SOOO hot), but then it starts inserting different elements and they barely make sense all together. I mean, I can see why they're related of course, but they also feel at times very forced to tie together. And as the movie progresses, things go progressively worse. And it leaves you with A TON of unanswered question, too much for a movie that's just about a crazy lady/couple. Spoiler Until Bill's death, the movie is top 1 of this year. After that, it becomes extremely messy.
Bimbo Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 My GAWD do I hate lazy ass writing. MEN and Run Sweetheart Run are sisters

Totally agree, that first part had me on the edge and I was like totally getting all the praise I read online. Then, it felt like another writer came in and decided to mess the things up, until a third writer became involved at the end. A mess.
FunCoric Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 00's scream queen nicki aycox (jeepers creepers 2, joy ride 2, x files or supernatural) has died :(
MDS Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Watched Smile yesterday, it started great and promising but as the movie goes on it drags more and more, so I thought the ending would pay off, but no, it ends exactly how you imagine it will. Also by the end of the movie, I ended up hating all the characters, all of them are so dumb
ATRL Moderator Ampersand13 Posted November 22, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted November 22, 2022 I actually had way more fun watching Smile than I did Barbarian. The latter is the ‘better’ film for sure, but I still didn’t enjoy it nearly as much
Bhabylon Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Watching Smell rn, we shall see if this was good or payola'd by the ATRL gays
genetic fail Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 The Menu was so good ohmygod!!! My favorite horror ending since Ready or Not
Desire Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Oh wow The Menu praise in here Guess I'll have to check it out
Companion Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Dont watch The Innocents if you hate kids

Never got the big praise here as it was Hereditary or something like that.
Khamis Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 (edited) Ok girls. Y’all know my alleged trash taste…. Ive fallen behind on my horror movie watches but I got time for one movie tonight and it’s gotta be a good one. Which should it be?! Barbarian, Nope, or Smile? @Reverse Warholian @genetic fail @mellenthin and anyone with an opinion! Edited November 22, 2022 by Khamis
