Immaculate might be the first “good” horror film this year. Can’t wait to see it later this month :duca:

Stopmotion is also giving me strong vibes, but I agree. The year seems stacked.

Is V/H/S worth a watch?

If you are into anthology type of thing like 5 different creepypastas put together in a movie varying in themes from mad scientist to initiation going wrong. There are few interesting ideas, but I personally don't find it compelling.

Well, if you end up enjoying it, there are few of the movies in the franchise. :clap:

i actually liked it a bit. the fire is great, some memorable scenes and a cool spin on the basic set up for the franchise.

the ending slaps

Horror has been kinda disappointing this year, so far. "Lisa Frankenstein" is still the best 2024 horror release. I watched "Night Shift" today, which is kinda like "Psycho" with an early 00's horror movie twist. Was alright and i was happy to see Phoebe Tonkin in something again.

I think it’s just been really slow so far. In my opinion, we haven’t had a major horror film that is exciting and gory to make audiences shook yet.

@Leptine

This sounds interesting, love thriller-horror movies located in Convent-Monastery.

By the way any good psychological horror recs?

I enjoyed cute, little short Double Blind - has that Cube/House of 9/Circle and similar several-people-trapped-inside-some-space energy. High paced, diverse in the way fatalities occurred.
