There you have it - Out of Darkness. It does have that Jeepers Creepers atmosphere, and you will have sense of a “monster” as well. It is not gorey, but it does contain explicit brutality. The story turns around good enough, so probably you will enjoy it. :cold5:

That movie was just okay.  Wish I didn't have to read subtitles for some made up language lol

Oh yes, I know that.
Well, at least it wasn’t time waster I guess, so there is that. I liked the monster idea and how it all turned out to be.

Monolith and Double Blind next in line. :foxaylove2:

Has anyone seen Terrifier?  Is it any good

There's no straight answer for this, the 2 movies are like 6 hours of pure B movie shock trash and gore. Those who are fond of the movie tend to desperately try to iconize the villain because the movies themselves are mediocre, is it giving style over substance? Well personally, it's anyone's guess since the style is nowhere to be found despite the whole thing trying to pay homage to a subgenre with aesthetics that are super easy to emulate... I suffered through the long needlessly extended scenes/shots, moderately enjoyed the kills and villain, and did sorta of feel like it was overall a chore, but the 2nd one was a lot more enjoyable.

I would recommend you watch both when you have nothing better to do.

Yes! It's low budget, campy and has some graphic gore but overall, it's definitely worth a watch. Terrifier 2 is better, but I'd watch them in order if you check them out! Art The Clown is a horror icon and a legend in the making.

Now that the rate is over, let me share my thoughts on a couple new horror films.

History of Evil - great premise, a MAGA-fied post-apocalyptic world, but they chose to go the most boring route - a generic haunted house. 4/10

Lovely, Dark, and Deep - after Barbarian, I was looking forward to Georgina Campbell to be a new scream queen but this film was just plain boring. (She better redeem herself in The Watchers though) 4/10

Will do a double feature of The Seeding and Out of Darkness hopefully tomorrow! :duca:

One of the best horror of the last years (both 1-2), deserves an Academy Award for best score.

Y'all need to find other movies in order to drag each other :clack:

'Malignant', 'X' trilogy, (and 'Titane', before someone got the idea) can't catch strays in your feud @Reverse Warholian

The Seeding = Children of the Corn + Mother’s Day + Misery :bloo:

A wild, twisted, dystopian and disturbing ride. Not the most solid piece of a movie nor flaw-free for sure, but good example why realistic horror always takes the cake - human nature is baseline depraved. It’s also non-compromising and bleak.
