I think we all exaggerate our opinions and reactions on here, and that's part of the fun!  The drags and nicknames make things more lively, and I don't think any of the "arguments" are for real.  Like you said, horror is supposed to be fun and not that serious, and this thread follows suit.  It would be very boring if we were all sunshine and rainbows all the time.

They did a 2 episodes limited serie for the tv in the 90s that aired on ABC, not worth watching it now, but if you were a little child back in the day it was pretty scary.

 

King said himself the book is a mess-disaster because he was on drugs when he wrote it, but the idea-story really was great, it had potential.

Pleasantly surprised at Birth/Rebirth. It's a little bit slow and may not be everyone's cup of tea but the writing and acting are superb! I can see it getting more recognition if it was directed by a Cronenberg. But since it was directed by a woman, it flew under the radar. Yall should check it out!

No One Will Save You was a lotta fun! The trailer makes so much sense now. Kaitlyn Dever delivered one of the best horror performances of the year

Watch this if you liked A Quiet Place, Super 8 or Significant Other.

Just saw Cobweb and wow, what an abomination. Complete waste of time, had potential in the beginning only to have wtf rushed ending?
The Homelander actor essentially playing unhinged Homelander didn't help.

Yes! 100% No one talks about this movie, but it built up and felt scary. It’s one of my favorite horror movies. Iconic. Amazing. Extraordinary.

It's more like a mystery-thriller than a horror to me but it's fresh and original imo. And I also like the setting of this movie, Louisiana is perfect choice, it's eerie, stormy and swarm...lol

It is my favorites too... The production of this movie is simply amazing. There is no to rarely any jumpscare but a slow burn horror dive into your skin along with captivated script and great acting of a well rounding casts. And I wish Nicole Kidman appears in more horror movie, she is so good in this.

Whoever recommended Cobtrash here - thanks for making me waste 1.5 hours of my life.

Cobweb - It was ridiculous. I don't know if the acting was deliberately bad or intentional. Either way, it fell flat. Waste of time of a movie.

Evil Dead Rise - Very mediocre. I don't get why y'all praise it so much. Awful script, awful setting, it did not feel like Evil Dead. This was camp done wrong.

The Last Voyager of the Demeter  - From the trailer, I expected it to be much better. The tone was completely different that what I expected. Wouldn't really recommend.

Talk To Me - It was good. The first half was amazing, it gave me Hereditary + Drag Me To Hell vibes. Then it kinda went downhill and became predictable. Acting was FANTASTIC though. Also, is it just me who thought the main protagonist looks EXACTLY the same as Kat Graham? When I first saw the trailer, I thought it was her.

 

Terrifier 1+2  - Amazing. One of the most unique, fresh and original horror movies I've watched recently. My only criticism for 1 was that the younger sister should have been the final girl, she was incredible, also gave me serious Neve Campbell in Scream 1 vibes. Her sister though... acting for bricks.

I casually watched it just last year because for some reasons it didn't catch my radar when it came out and yeah I didn't like it at all, I like the concept but the execution was a mess, it's from the Men.com director indeed.

 

ScarJo in 'Under the Skin' washed her with ease with this superior A24 artsy sci-fi horror movie.
