Dropping by to share factual data: Influencer is the best horror of this year so far ( I would, personally, call it this year’s X and/or Sissy, which is more in vein of it ). Followed by Sick and Scream VI. 
We will see what happens when I watch Talk to Me though.

Went on somewhat of a horror binge yesterday and today. I’ve seen:

 

Evil Dead Rise

Cobweb

Insidious The Red Door 

Horror In The High Desert 2

Boogeyman

 

None of them blew me away tbh. Horror In The High Desert 2 shook me a bit at times. The dash cam and basement footage had me leaking ngl  so that was a bit of a serve. Evil Dead Rise was fun, but not amazing. Godweb was better than Boogerpanned. Insidious was basically the first film only much worse  so you can go right on ahead and skip that.

Is the first Horror In The High Desert worth a watch? Anyone?

for me Influencer is far from the best of the year but I was surprised at how much I loved it, it was SUCH a blast to watch!

I get that it is kind of low key somehow and not that grandious, but the story, characters, pacing, psychological layers of it all are pretty well put together. And it is so relevant to today’s life landscape. 
I am just glad we are getting Sissy, Influencer and similar movies today - these are truly this century’s/contemporary slashers of this era.
