ATRL Moderator Verge of Obscene Posted August 1, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted August 1, 2023 talk to me was disappointing. nowhere near as scary as ppl made it out to be. or violent even. i expected a lot more 1
Reverse Warholian Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 (edited) Even though I was expecting a TINY bit more from it, Talk To Acclaim was still so good Edited August 1, 2023 by Reverse Warholian

Sexyzinger Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Nothing has topped Scream 6 this year in horror. That movie was so damn fun and thrilling. 1
mellenthin Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Going to the cinema to see Talk To Me alone now (inspired by spookyastronauts).
The Witch Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Screech 6 stans trying to convince themselves Evil Dead Slays didn't STOMP on their already forgotten movie @Reverse Warholian @mellenthin @Jay L 4

Uncatena Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 talk to me is the best film of the year, not even just horror. i’m ******* floored. 1

Butters Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 (edited) I like talk to me a lot! maybe not as scary? as I thought it would be, but existential dread >>> jumpscares. the cast chemistry was perfect, everyone did so well in their roles. and that possession montage scene was AMAZING. you could really tell the directors used to be a bunch of youtubers back in the day this and evil dead are my favorites from this year. ATRL Moderator Verge of Obscene Posted August 5, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted August 5, 2023 talk to me - don’t buy into the hype, it’s a low B at best scream 6 - big improvement from 5, still want Sidney back idc megan - cute. maybe an R rating would’ve helped evil dead rise - big decline from 2013 knock at the cabin - top 5 M Night movie infinity pool - gave me anxiety insidious - trash 1
popmusicisdead Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 has anybody seen Passenger yet? it looks like another borefest like Swallowed. The Ruins remains the director's peak, i'm afraid
rooby.booby Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 I watched 3 movies this week: Infinty Pool - This was pretty good, i enjoyed it alot Insidious - The Red Door - This was not as bad as i expected it to be, it was good for a night in with friends. Malum - How the **** do you get a bigger budget for a movie that you already made and make it worse? I was so disappointed with this, Last Shift >>>>>>

We need to talk - movie was trash Oh, here's the tea. I liked the concept and atmosphere, but the movie itself was mid. I don't get the hype at all. I watched The Power (2021) yesterday, it was nothiing to write home about. Spoiler The ghost thingy was pretty predictable, the metaphor for Power was kinda a little bit interesting. They set up some good stuff and the house looked cool, but it was overall very slow, nothing new, and anti-climactic. 1

James_Dean Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 I've been on a binge of old horror movies I watched as a teen... so far this weekend I watched: The Hills Have Eyes (2006) House of Wax (2005) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) No, they're not great, but I love the nostalgia of it

rooby.booby Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 Would you guys consider "Nanny" a horror movie? Watched it last night and i felt it more like a drama with really really small elements of horror. It was not bad tho.
