I won't say why they stole them but it's not a sexual reason or anything like that I liked the first episode and I do get tired of the ecchi aspect of anime, but if I endured the Monogatari Series ecchi, I can endure this. However, you are telling us that... Spoiler One of the main goals of the whole thing is to get the MC's balls??? Is he like a Ken doll down there in the meantime?

Spoiler Yes, as of episode 2, it's smooth down there EDIT: It's been a while since I started the manga, so I just reread the first chapters and it appears Turbo Granny only took away his penіs at the beginning, the wording is a bit confusing... But that won't matter anyways because those balls aren't staying for a long time I fear And yes, bringing them back is one of the core goals of the series. But obviously there are going to be more subplots and characters that add a lot of flavor Edited October 10 by illia
illia Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Dragon Ball Daima premiere was very fun and the animation is spectacular . Loved the DBZ recap at the beginning, it helped me refresh my memory a little bit Also I recently started Urusei Yatsura (the remake) and I don't remember laughing so much at an anime since early One Piece Like yeah the humor is kinda tacky sometimes but it just WORKS 2
Antisocialites Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Dandadan is def not ecchi. it's just quirky and silly.
Pepo Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Sorry guys, call me nostalgic or something (in fact I'm a fan of 1980s/1990s anime), but I couldn't make it through the first episode of the Ranma remake. The backgrounds were triggering me Well, remakes tend to suck. It's what happened also to the Sailor Moon franchise.

A grandma ghost that posseses a schoolboy's p*enis and whole premise of the series is a literal child searching for his stolen b*lls??? We need to stop tolerating animes with pervy tendencies, especially ones that involve children. Edited October 12 by katara

Dylangaga Posted October 12 Posted October 12 ANOTHER INCREDIBLE MHA EPISODE! This was the BEST SEASON! A 100/10! The action 10! The drama 10! The animation 10! The ideology 10! The story 10!
Canon Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Ok Uzumaki Episode 3, do your worst. I'm as ready as I will be. 1
Canon Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Am I feeling... hope? Episode 3 is much better animation wise and pacing. Not as great as Ep1 but a much needed step up from Ep2. My Uzumaki sewer-slide note may have to wait. 1
illia Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Yeah episode 3 of Uzumaki is better than the absolute atrocity we all witnessed last week. But it still fades in comparison with ep1... The pacing is still a rushed mess and all moments that are supposed to feel impactful fail at doing so, because we get like 2 seconds to take it in before the plot moves on And I really don't get the direction of the series so far... Is it going to have an actual resolution of the spiral thing, or is the whole story just a compilation of spooky events in the town?
Rainy Devil Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Uzumaki is just weird, confusing and ugly. I don't think I will continue to watch it. Kinda reminds me of a nonsensical dream. One thing happening after another that don't really connect well.
fridayteenage Posted October 14 Posted October 14 read great teacher onizuka. there's certainly a lot to enjoy, and good humor, though the perviness could get tiring. the series peaks with volume 17 and the miyabi vs. urumi war, with urumi being the most interesting character in the series. volumes 20+ centering so much around a bunch of new characters I didn't really care about was not my favorite decision (The unrelated mini-arc about Noboru was a highlight though.) I wasn't into the crazy Teshigawara arc or the pouty brat Mayu arc either. most of the other adult characters take up space, and it was annoying when there were whole chapters centered on them. still overall worth reading, even if it went on longer than necessary.
MonsterJohn Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Bleach is eating so far, Idk why seems like no one cares 1
Dylangaga Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I have to watch the new Bleach episode, and catch up on this season of Re:Zero! MHA really brought it this season. I'm still SHOOK! Dragon Ball Daima had a great start! the animation was great, and the story sounds like it'll be interesting. It also seems like they're foreshadowing Goku and co will have to use the dragon balls in the Demon Realm to wish everything back to normal Uzumaki has also been great. I'm not a manga reader but the story makes sense to me. And tbh I didn't even notice the animation dipped in episode 2 until I saw the meltdowns Rurouni Kenshin has been enjoyable even tho I prefer the OG. Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest has also been very enjoyable! I am a FT stan til the end and I will go down defending ha My only critiques are the character designs. I only noticed when I saw a tweet comparing the Erza designs and Gun Gale II is cute so far. I loved the Gun Gale arc in SAO so right now it's hitting the spot for me!

Canon Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Is MHA actually good enough to binge? I'd like to give it a try but I'm so tired of the power-scaling trope in action animes ala Naruto, DBZ, etc. A villain appears -> become more powerful -> defeat villain -> new more powerful villain appears -> become more powerful -> defeat villain -> new more powerful villain appears -> and so on so forth. When Tokyo Ghoul came around, I thought it'd be a more of an insight of how a guy would deal with becoming a Ghoul. But nope, Ghoul Powers activate! Who cares about a deep introspection on transforming into a monster when we have BLOOD POWER BATTLES!.....ugh...

I'm not a fan of anime like that overall either but the first couple of seasons are genuinely great. I remember it completely breathing a new life into those tropes and there's a lot of emotive/powerful moments at the start. as time has passed it stopped being that interesting though to me. I keep up with it since I feel somewhat invested but honestly it's so paint by numbers now I don't watch the seasons as they air and just wait until I can watch at my own pace. 1

I think it was Toonami that inadvertently gave me both my love of more intellectual drama/thriller animes and my exhaustion of action animes. Way back when-when Toonami was airing, its pool of shows were nearly ALL fighting/action animes (DBZ, YuYu, Gundam, among others). Oh good lord the amount of Dragon Ball that aired. It was when I stumbled across Death Note (Yes, I know I'm beating a dead horse with how overly saturated that series is) and it blew me away on how different the anime genre could be. Now I'm really enjoying high-stakes gambling animes/mangas. 'Liar Game' is peak .
