Canon Posted October 6 Posted October 6 I honestly don't know how they're going to fit everything the rest of the Uzumaki manga has to offer with only 2 episodes left. I fear they're going to just speedrun the ending parts. Twitter agrees with my sentiment of the overall visual quality decline of the episode. I'm thinking covid may have had a hand in it during the 5 year production.

It has one of the most unique premises I've ever seen in anime and the manga is really acclaimed in Japan and won lots of awards I'm probably going to wait till all the episodes come out and I have high hopes for this one

The art style is very interesting, but the story is so ridiculously rushed it just keeps jumping from one plot point to another in a matter of seconds. It should've been 7-8 episodes instead of 4. Or they should've pulled a PLUTO and made each episode 45 minutes/1 hour long. But oh well... Edited October 6 by illia

I'm scared though... cause I still have no idea what are they trying to do (in terms of story progression, thematically it's pretty clear what they are aiming at) and it's a two-cour anime with 25 episodes. it bothers me a lot that the character design of the main guy is ugly tbh.

I do wish he would find a studio that could take over as well as animate the series. It would be nice if he even let a studio animate little movies for all the plot holes. illia Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Apparently Uzumaki was in production hell and they were switching studios and directors multiple times Nagahama, the director of the excellent episode 1, left the project/was fired early because he was "too ambitious" with the use of 3D and rotoscoping

If you're looking for current seasonal offerings, Crunchyroll is the way to go, as they get the majority of them debuting as they do in Japan. Hit or miss depending on the device you use to stream though. Netflix and hulu have a lot of older series with the occasional new current series every season. They've been getting more current series as time goes on. They're also most stable streaming wise. There's also HIDIVE but the selections are far fewer than Crunchyroll, and streaming stability is easily the weakest. If you're looking for specific series you could always check justwatch.com and see which service has the most offerings you wish to stream. 1

I didn't even bother w the second ep, started reading it instead. It's so great! I'm on Chapter 13 now.
