Tanaka Kei was the reason I restarted my BL journey after stopping at Episode 6 of Cherry Magic. (It was a slow burn show, but I had to rush my master's thesis at that time in late 2020 anyway). Some time in 2H 2021, I was watching Anata No Ban Desu (the 1st season was excellent, the 2nd season was not as great) and I loved Tanaka Kei in that. I read that he was in a BL earlier, so then I restarted my journey by watching the Ossan's Love franchise (1st season with 7 episodes, the movie version, the Peach Airline 2nd season which I actually prefer and the HK version) in late 2021 and early 2022. I will say that while Tanaka Kei is good at being a comedian, Hayashi Kento was the far better actor. I follow Xu Bin on Instagram and I never clocked that he follows only Jiongmin I'm not sold on the HK Ossan's Love yet. In my mind, the Japanese one (especially the most recent season) is a perfect BL, and the expectations are through the roof right now. I guess the equivalent comparison is 2gether is GMMTV's 25 and 23.5 is GMMTV's TTPD. This also means that Love is the only person to appear in all of the top 3. I agree with that Reddit user that MilkLove should be standing next to Tha during the 2025 line-up, but that's obviously not going to happen, because of sexism. I have still not watched it because it's geo-blocked here on YT and I don't have Netflix now. It gave very low stakes but it was funny and heartwarming I wander how the 23.5 numbers compare to GAP.
