Am I the only one who was ok with the ending? I mean I knew that that one scene in one of the previous episodes was gonna be the epilogue thank god it really was  They looked so good and mature

Should they have made the happy reunion and post-credits text and post-credits epilogue into an actual full Episode 13 and added in kisses especially from the main couple? ABSOLUTELY. But a happy ending is a happy ending and everything that happened made sense and was consistent with the writing and characters. A romcom fairy tale ending was NEVER gonna happen and would've been awkward and a disservice to the writing and build up (though I wished we saw that abusive dad getting locked up but oh well) and to be fair the post-credits epilogue comes close to that fairy tale ending anyway.

 

The only sad thing is the 6 year gap but they both GREW and found themselves before reconnecting so they don't have to be too dependent on each other anymore (which was also bad and unhealthy). And if Qi Lu got to study directing in California with his mom and is now a director and back with his painter lover, it means he DID get away from his dad and now they get to live happily ever after! 

 

The only unsatisfying thing about the whole BL was that the main couple only kissed (pecked) once but at least they still did it at least once so it's not completely Canvasphobic.

That someone was the only actor I've ever seen in BL who made a dubcon scene feel like a real r4p3 scene  Does that sound bad? In the sense that-

It's like he was literally about to beat him up and call him the baguette word, idk if it was the director's fault but even the director shaded him and his lack of chemistry with the other lead
