Genius1111 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Strongberry recently released a post on their official Instagram account addressing concerning behaviours exhibited by some online users towards one of the lead actors casted in their new BL Drama "Blossom Campus". Unfortunately, the mistreatment and cyber-bullying towards this actor has not stopped hence why the CEO of Matchbox has now released a longer statement on the Strongberry website: https://www.strongberry.kr/contents/6597baa359f647453917d1ad The CEO openly discusses the topic of 'fan-service' and also the claim that many actors only partake in BL roles to acquire fame and popularity. However, he justifies this by stating that there is still prejudice towards gay men in South Korea so it is challenging for them to cast gay actors in their BL Dramas. He even discusses the intentional coordination of Instagram posts and 'cleaning up' of personal photos that is expected of BL production companies. However, they didn't expect for the lead actors instagram to be discovered before they announced the official reveal. They did not want to release any posts regarding this issue but the excessive harassment towards the lead actor has been persisting for months and is now delaying production of the show.
Da Vinci Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Oh they SERVED here more than they ever did in Minatoad S2
Katamari Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Was waiting to binge the last 7 episodes of Last Twilight but that plan failed Ep 9 this era of GM BLs is their best tbh. Hope the streak can continue because this is looking to be their best. Hopefully their comedies are up to snuff this year

pearlmercury Posted January 6 Posted January 6 i think we usually let the main cp compete as lead and anything else are supporting? in this logic who are the leads in only friends? lol do they all count as supporting roles? @JonginBey
pearlmercury Posted January 6 Posted January 6 the way i feel you finger in the ass and to sir with love are gonna sweep all the supporting categories and best villain in my ballots iktr 1
Katamari Posted January 6 Posted January 6 The I was cast as a main lead in a BL series 3 episodes of goodness. The managers stole the show Now let me find the manga
Nebur Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Cherry magic Th ep 4 I loved this episode, I love both couples, I want all the eps now.
robbyds Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Last Twilight EP 9 had me in tears 😭 it was so good! This is hands down the best BL series ever produced by GMM and I am so happy the main roles went to Jimmy Sea. Now their popularity is rising and deservedly so since both are talented and unproblematic. 1

I put both Fluke and Thor in supporting though.
DanyelP23 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) For Your BLAmmy Consideration Best Supporting Actor - Maeyema Kuuga, Our Dining Table Best Supporting Character - Ueda Tane, Our Dining Table Edited January 7 by DanyelP23
Nebur Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) Dead Friends Forever DFF ep 3 Taking away a couple of things that were neglected in terms of the script, the truth is that I really enjoyed this series, the horror element is on point, and I am interested in how this will reach 12 episodes assuming that the deaths continue to increase the number I just hope that my favorite characters/couple don't die or at least yet... Genius1111 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) My suggestion is as follows. Only Friends Lead Males: First, Khao, Force, Book, Neo, Mark Supporting Males: Mond, Title, Papang The Warp Effect Lead Males: None(?) It's debatable how queer Alex is in the show, but the members here are generally not stans of that whale, so it's probably not that important. Supporting Males: Fluke Pusit, Thor, Sing Harit (I don't believe there's a restriction on the sexual orientation in the supporting actor category) Supporting Females: Fah (even though she's technically the lead female), Silvy (even though her character is non-binary, I think she's a cis lesbian in real life) and all the other wonderful GMM girls To Sir With Love Lead Males: Film, Jam Supporting Males: Tongtong (don't forget about him, guys!), Saksit (who played the dad) (again, assuming no restriction on sexual orientation in this category) PS I Hate You (It's the female Only Friends to me, and you guys should not miss this) Supporting Males: Papang, Guy Supporting Actresses: The 5 main females, even though they are technically leads Edited January 7 by Genius1111
Genius1111 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) FYC - The women of The Warp Effect for Best Supporting Actress Silvy (who's also in Laws of Attraction playing a lesbian, though she has limited screentime) Gigie Sure, Jan Fah (even though she's the lead actress) Edited January 7 by Genius1111
Genius1111 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) Since I think people have not finalized their votes, it would be good for the host to consider expanding the number of categories to accommodate for different genders (of the actors) sexual orientations (of the characters). - Best Lead Actor (his character must be queer) - Best Supporting Actor (queer role) - Best Supporting Actor (heterosexual role) - Best Actress (Probably no need to segregate by orientation or lead/supporting this year, since there are no prominent GLs with male queer characters) - Best Male Villain (regardless of orientation) - Best Female Villain (regardless of orientation) - Best Lead Couple (characters must be male and queer) - Best Supporting Couple (characters must be queer, but need not be two males) - Most Memorable Scene (and I want to nominate Uncle Jim for this heh) Also, regarding Most Anticipated '24, I suppose any show which has already premiered in the first week of 2024 can be included, right? Genius1111 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 WBK that Boston is Greedy like Tate McRae. I know he would eat them both in a single night. Deserved BL King of 2023: NeoLouis in OS2: The Eclipse, NeoAungpao in Cooking Crap, NeoMark in Only Friends + kissing Force, Title, Mond and Drake on the side @reymiu 1
