Taiwanese BL promo is always next level queerbaiting, other countries could never, reminds me of the History2 CTL era :jonny6: I wish the captions and subs are in English I don't understand!

Maybe they should've done the promo while the show is airing, not before it :skull: But I'm not losing sleep over it, people overrate tons of mediocre shows anyway, what a lack of taste :cm:

I remembered the promo for You Are Mine commenced like 2 months before the show aired, but I didn't post this video (unfortunately, without English subs) here before no one's going to remember anything 2 months before it actually premiered.

You can see Parker Mao and Hsiao Hung acting that scene at around 26:45 and all the women in attendance were screaming! I checked MDL and Parker is from the mainland it seems, and Hung's age is not publicly revealed, like Ava Max.

The gist of this show: The older woman is Dee Hsu (Xiao S), who is a A-list host in Taiwan. I find her quite b!tchy at times and she is creepy in the sense that she would sometimes try to force the hot young males to agree to let her lift up their shirts to see their abs. :rip: The male guests for this episode, I think, are relatively new guys who are trying to make a name for themselves. Later on, in this video, you will see the guys trying to act out other BL scenes. There is a terrifically acted out scene at the 42:30 with an athletics senior hugging his junior.

Cultural notes for You Are Mine, which you may enjoy

Chinese Name: Jue Dui Zhan Ling

Jue Dui = absolute, total

Zhan Ling = dominate, conquer, take over

So the title of the show literally means "absolute domination"

One of the things which I think Mandarin speakers would find totally amusing, but not picked up at all by most international viewers, is the names given to the 2 characters. (I was honestly :rip: when I first found out.)

(Parker's character) Xia Shang Zhou = The first 3 dynasties in traditional Chinese history (although historians note that the Xia dynasty probably never existed)

(Hung's character) Yao Shun Yu = The names of 3 sage kings (again, historians note that these are likely to be characters that existed only in legends and were not actual pople)

It'd be a waste of chemistry if they aren't given a BL, cast them!!! :jonny6: Not a random skit on live television getting me obsessed, Taiwan is insane!

Since there is a crossover between ATOTS and Blah Buddy, I think it's possible to figure out a timeline from these 2 shows. (There was also no mention of COVID in either show, so we cannot use that as a reference. But of course, there was a scene in the market in BB where shoppers were clearly wearing masks.)

As per the lousy Magic of Zero special featuring MilkLove, in 2015 Pa was in Grade 10, I think.

2015 (academic year)- Pa in G10, the other main characters (Pat, Pran, Ink and their friends) were in G11

2016 - Pa in G11 and the rest in G12

2017 - Pa in G12, the rest are freshmen

2018 - Pa as a freshman, the rest as sophomores

2019 - Pa as a sophomore, the rest are juniors

2020 - Pa as a junior, the rest are seniors

2021 - Pa as a senior, the rest have graduated and started work.

2022 - Pran has been working in Singapore for a year or so and he attends his high school reunion.

This means that the ATOTS and BB crossover took place around 2019/2020, based on this timeline.

Let's assume that PhuphaTian have been living 2gether for a few months before PatPran showed up. Tian went abroad for 3 years (?), so this meant the main events of ATOTS happened in 2017 probably, and the accident that led to him getting a heart transplant took place in 2016 or so.

However, I think in the 2nd(?) episode of ATOTS, Aye was shown to have died in 2020, I think. So some things are not adding up...?
