Genius1111 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 My only real disappointment is that we didn't get the pre-sex conversation between Kawi & Pisaeng that we definitely should have seen. It's so refreshing to watch a show where virtually all the side characters have some depth. Even though they serve a purpose in Kawi & Pisaeng's storyline, we see them exist outside of it. It's so rare in BL. Magic Man showing up to read Kawi the riot act was great. And confirmed what we figured out, which is that not everything can ever be exactly the way you want it. (A popular theory on Tumblr is that MM is DistantFuture!Kawi, come back to fix up his screw-ups. I'm not sure of that, but I don't discount it completely either.) Quote Loved when Pear's dad and Pisaeng's mom had a conversation over dinner and the dad dropped this gem, "it's not only our children who grow but we as parents also must grow along with them" (I'm paraphrasing a tad). So true! I really like this show for these life gems that you just rarely find in other BLs. I like this random scene. We sometimes forget when watching the show, that Pear's dad and Pisaeng's mum are obviously close family friends. I also feel like shipping them 2gether, like Dark Blue Kiss' Pete's dad and Kao's mum.
Genius1111 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Not a feet scene by the ex-homophobe GawinKrist being the 3rd best onetime ship (after NeoMark and FlukeThor) was not how I envisioned it, even though I was hyped for this show since last year (with Mike). Imagine if it's SingtoKrist, like in the original plan. The chemistry would have been off-the-charts.

Maybe Neo got turned on by Mark's stench, and it made their kissing scenes even better.

While Cherry Magic was the first BL I watched, the first show that I properly finished was Ossan's Love 1, after watching Tanaka Kei in Your Turn To Kill (which I really recommend watching, at least for the 1st season). 1

Personally, I did find some of the special effects weird and parts of Ep 4 seemed kinda dumb (and it reminds me of the writing in Not Me). WinPrim were terrifc but too bad they had that weird camera angle kiss. If BrightWin = 2Bros, then WinPrim = 2Siblings? Anyway, Win is shown to kiss another woman, Namtan, in the same episode! Apparently Namtan has been a fangirling over Win for a while now, so it's terrific that she finally gets a chance to kiss him. Now when is it Neo's turn to kiss Bright? He's been crushing on Bright for several years now. Hopefully the 2nd season will be made in 2024 and we can have more BrightWin content and a true enemies to lovers show. I also don't mind a FaNamsai (PrimPiploy) GL pairing in the 2nd season. Quote he NamtanWin kiss on the other hand... Yeah. The moment I saw that ponytail I KNEW.
