pearlmercury Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 to sir with love gonna sweep in this year's blammy
DanyelP23 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Is it me or Yang (Thian's brother)'s actor kinda looks like if Kirst Perawat was handsome?
DanyelP23 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Interesting how in Lakorn or Lakorn-lite BLs (To Sir, With Love & Miracle of Teddy Bear) it is the actor that plays the perceived "bottom" who gets the first billing, unlike more traditional BLs where the top is always billed first and the bottom second

And da perceived bottoms r always servin thespian realness could u imagine MC staring MixEarth and Not Me staring GunOff 😂

Kinda the same vibe with TayNew in DBK. I could see Tay play Kao, but early New I could not imagine him pulling off Pete. ===== Not them trying to arrange a marriage between the girl Yang met (he probably has a crush on her developed at first sight) and Thian I could see why the Thai GP said yes to this show, Teddy Bear's Massacre is boring in comparison

I feel da length of da show hurt Teddy Bear. Gurl no one was here for 90 minute episodes 😂 and yes it sucks da tops will always have “top” billing.
DanyelP23 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 I just realized BLs where in the beginning / overall both leads don't share the same level of screentime or importance to the story are SOOOO good! Like we have The Untamed and now To Sir with Love. It gives the story time to breathe

Babymomo Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 But no lets really talk about it, the actors that play the "bottom" are ALWAYS >>>>> in terms of acting or commitment and they aren't the problematic ones the vast majority of the time(build BEGONE!) Guess thats what happens when you give ur all into a role the gurlz dont consider the socially acceptable one, like you must already be dedicated to take such a role. Which really also makes me ponder how alot of these actors wouldn't be taking BL roles if it wasnt watched by majority women, like imagine queer men being the ones at these fanmeets and the ones being very emotionally invested, the acting field would be BARON except for those that really care about acting and the craft of this art field. My fellow women actually embarrass me so much, like can we not enjoy and be normal about it?

MaxTul are kinda the exception that confirm the rule Max isn't some Meryl Streep of Thai BL like Gun, but he's able to carry his own and use his charisma to his advantage and he delivers emotional scenes quite well. Tulissa on the other hand is a hit or miss mess. He improved in MoD but was serving tragic acting in Together with me and Bad Romance It's even more of a kii considering Max is the str8 one and Tulissa is the real-life hunty. But they're both unproblematic angels so we continue to love anyway
DanyelP23 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 @dabunique I'm on ep3 of Khun Chai / To Sir, With Love and Mister TongTong Kisakorn (Yang's actor) has also obtained a mark in books for Best Supporting Actor in a str8 leading role nomination

rp662 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Episode 3 of Moonlight Chicken Heart and Li Ming scenes had my wig orbiting in outer space. Having said that. I was frustrated with Li Ming. Like sis, wanting to be a bartender is not it, especially long term. And Wen should be lashed for encouraging him. Sure, Jim is a bit dismissive of Li Ming’s feelings; but I’m sorry, education is non-negotiable! Jim is not forcing him to be a doctor, lawyer, or any stereotypical degree. He’s giving him the freedom to choose a career. I mean, even a trade/technical school is better than nothing. Get your degree, then go be a bartender all you want afterwards. Papang’s character is trash but he and Earth had chemistry together ngl.
