Genius1111 Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 (edited) I could only remember Mark Pakin in Bad Buddy, and it's mostly because of his fluffy hair. Freakin' finally, the 8th and 9th most prominent actors in My School President are going for events. Edited March 1, 2023 by Genius1111

I am honestly quite bothered that they had to kill off the nicest female character in this show. And the purprose of doing this is to use it as a tool to advance several plot points. I can understand the part with the landlord though, since he is a recurring character that has business dealings with Gaipa's mum. The only good thing is that the AlanGaipa ship may sail (We may probably get some crumbs in the finale. It won't be a full-blown romance.) The constant badgering by the FirstKhao stans may hace actually worked. Khaotung did a great job in this episode. The final segment gave me the feels. I presume that Khao isn't a great singer, so he was only shown singing a few lines. The Massacre of Teddy Bear's Nut singing the theme song during Tofu's funeral may not be topped, I fear. A pity that Heart hardly appeared in this episode. Honestly, a BL featuring a deaf boy as the main character could have propelled the show into legendary status. Have you read sign? That’s a BL manga with a deaf mc teehee i haven’t read it but it seems popular @Da Vinci Edited March 1, 2023 by Katamari

Katamari Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 History 5 Well that was certainly a thing and a finale of a show I wonder if history 6 will even be made
Genius1111 Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 (edited) What I like about Moonlight Chicken is there aren't really any plot holes (in stark contrast to Never Let Me Go) thus far, which is honestly really rare. The cinematography is great and most interestingly, the show actually explicitly tells the viewers the dates or shows the approximate amount of time that has passed. In Ep 6, it was around Dec 30 2022 - 01 Jan 2023. Ep 7 starts in early Feb, with Li Ming asking Heart to celebrate V Day with him. Gaipa's mum probably died Feb 11 2023 and the funeral was held from Feb 12 to 14 2023. (I suspect the final minutes of Ep 7 were on Feb 13, and the finale will feature Feb 14.) Because the show also addresses the existence of COVID, it is no longer to see the actors not wearing masks while half the general population is masked up. Edited March 2, 2023 by Genius1111
Genius1111 Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Also in Ep 7, Saleng (Mark Pakin) revealed that he was born in the year of the Horse, which would be some time between Feb 2002 and Jan 2003 (20 years old, as mentioned in an earlier episode.) Gaipa (Khaotung) said he was born in the Year of the Monkey, so his birth would have been between Feb 2004 and Jan 2005 (18 in 2022, 19 in 2023). I am not sure if I caught the dialog correctly, but it seemed like Uncle Jim was also born in the Year of the Monkey. So he would have been born either between Feb 1992 and Jan 1993 (30 in 2022, 31 in 2023) or between Feb 1980 and Jan 1981 (42 in 2022, 43 in 2023). It looks like something does not add up here (Jim is supposed to be close to 40), but I may be wrong on this. Li Ming was sent to live with Jim and probably Beam around 2017 (5 or 6 years ago) and would have lived with the gay couple for a year before the ferry disaster. Beam seemed to be from a rich or at least a comfortable middle class background, so they were able to afford to open the shop. Li Ming's mum Jam was still likely poor at the time and JimBeam having enough money motivated Jam to send Li Ming to live with them in Pattaya from Sakhon Panom (forgot the name of the town).

Genius1111 Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 I think having Moonlight Chicken and My School President mirroring each other is intentional, like in a Vice Versa kind of way. Ford Allan singing, Fourth Nattawat having the same actress play his mum, the reference to the generation of dinosaurs dying, FourthGemini tickling each other's chins...

So, after watching the final episode, itnis clarified Gaipa is a college graduate with a bachelor's degree, so he should be over the age of 22, so I guess that means he is 30/31 in the show (born between Feb 1992 and Jan 1993). This would mean that Uncle Jim is actually 42/43 (born between Feb 1980 and Jan 1981) assuming he is born in the Year of the Monkey. I think, in an earlier episode, it is mentioned in passing that Jim is younger than Li Ming's mum Jam, so she's born in the 70s (?)
