It seems like Podd is doing a gay character again (???), while poor AJ continues to play the "friend" role. (He really peaked with DBK, it seems. )

Genius1111 Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 I think the reason why I like, but not love, Not Me was White, the protagonist of the show. He made several points by being the voice of reason at critical junctures, and early on in the series during the candidate interview part. After that, his character became rather meh. I am far more interested to see more of Nuch, Gumpa, Black and Todd, frankly. Especially Nuch, she should have more scenes and be credited as part of the main cast.

I must watch Triage some time this year, but I have a lot of other crap to clear first. 2. Only if they make a sequel to Dark Blue Kiss (Darker & Darkest Blue Kiss?? 😂) I don't mind a redemption arc for Non because I do feel a tinge of sympathy for his character and he is not a diabolical POS. The GawinKrist ship will probably only last for one series (Be My Favorite) and since First Kanapan is already booked and busy with Khaotung, a return to PoddGawin (in any role, not necessarily SunMork) would be really welcome in 2024. Cherryphobic Thailand doing well (hopefully) may spur one more TayNew series so it might as well be PeteKao again. The same goes for TharnType, where Kradom plays Type Thiwat's dad. Type is also really fair, but his dad gets so worked up that Tharn is so white.

There is of course, a lot of inter-marriage between the ethnic Thais and ethnic Chinese (see Bright Vachirawit, probably 25% Chinese 50% Thai) to produce a rather mixed population (similar to that seen in Latin America). However, I think it's pretty obvious (to me) that Tee Thanapon/In Sarin are probably descended exclusively from ethnic Chinese ancestors for at least the past 4 generations. Meanwhile, Kradom does not look like he has much Chinese heritage in him, based on appearance. Having said that, I think Tee's and In's skin tones have probably gone through some (deliberate?) color filtering. Job Thuchapon's skin tone is a lot more realistic looking. All 3 guys can pass off as your regular Han Chinese guy if you place them in China or Taiwan. Gulf Kanawut, on the other hand, does not look like your regular ethnic Han Chinese guy. I'm curious to know what's the ethnic mix of ancestry.
