Before watching Star In My Mind, my bottom 3 BL actors were Mew Suppasit and JoongDunk. However, I decided that I would give JoongDunk a chance since I did not watch SIMM, so I decided to impose torture on myself give them a chance to redeem themselves.

 

The first 4 episodes of SIMM were not terrible actually, which left me pleasantly surprised. Once again, the best part of the show was Mek Jirakit. The way he walked into the practice room like a confident top, oof!  (OK, fine, he was straight at the time, but little did he know...)

 

Typhoon was also quite hot though. Perhaps Sky In Your Heart would have been better if it had been about Kuafah x Typhoon.

 

I suppose GMMTV were trying so hard to make JoongDunk the 2nd BrightWin, but at least BW had Win. 

 

 

While JoongDunk and MekMark were the official couples in the anthology, the two with the best chemistry were really the two half-brothers. As I commented several weeks earlier, the whole show would have been so much better if it had been MekDunk as stepbrothers turned lovers. That would have been so much fun. While I still don't really like Dunk, I wouldn't mind if he and Mek did another show as stepbrothers turned BFs.

Star in My Mind Ep5-8 are a boring forgettable mess. The show kinda peaked in ep4 or 5 from what I remember.

I agree about Mek being the best part of the show. I think what I liked the most from SIMM was the way everybody in the beginning wanted to top Dunk and they were secretly jealous thinking that Dunk already had a big dick appointment with Mek, not knowing it was his brother

I agree with ur latest paragraph though. I would love 2see that put into practice

The way Miss Mam Kathaleeya McIntosh is going to snatch the BLAmmy best supporting actress award Even though she's kinda a lead character along with Wang and In.

 

I've seen ppl praising Nike Nitidon (In's actor) and Mam (Sasiwimol's actress) but I believe we need to give flowers to Pond Ponlawit as well. He manages to juggle the line between innocence and mischievousness perfectly. And also, he uses his voice very skillfully in those narration moments Wang has, and his tonal quality is like a mirror to the character's feelings & longings. There is a certain elegance to the way Pond serves cunty tw!nk that I rarely see with other actors.

In hindsight, I LOVED the apology & "surprise" scenes in episode 3, as it hit a little too close to home. The way it seeemed like Sasiwimol was the child instead of the parent, and the rehearsed, almost artificial way in which Wang delivers the apology - knowing that this is something that will not make them understand each other better, but just a temporary patch to a much more complex wound -, and reacts like a perfect son to the surprise thrown by his mom.

 

180 degrees is shaping up to truly be that ***** this year... The way miss Thailand is making a comeback on me after the boring and been there/done that duds they served with previous releases in the last months.

Thailand basically produced this year only three good projects - NotMe, KinnPorsche and 180 degree, everything else is forgettable
