TalkThatRihanna Posted June 18 Posted June 18 MP4 omg They're definitely dropping 2&3 soon if they kept 4 in the Title. The graphics were the same as MPR which is still good. I wonder if it's a Switch 2 game and they'll show it with updated graphics

I had a feeling they would either do another remake (Oracle games) or a new game in the Link's Awakening style. It was well received I love it personally 1
ebaby Posted June 19 Posted June 19 I know Prime 4 is going to be amazing, I just think for a proper reveal literally several years in the making it needed more of a wow factor. I still remember how much the trailer for Metroid Dread gagged everybody on one hand no one saw it coming but on the other hand it just had so much intensity and style to its reveal. Metroid Prime 4's reveal trailer honestly didn't do much for me because it felt very same old same old to me. It also just wasn't a well put together teaser honestly (aside from Samus appearing I'll give it that, it's hard for that not to be iconic) I know that is only the first trailer we'll see of many (I'm assuming Nintendo will market this hard) and I trust Retro - I just think it deserved a better reveal for how long we've waited since it was first announced 7 years ago
Puttanesca Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Still not over the way Nintendo gagged me. I thought this year was a chop. 2
Attitude Posted June 19 Posted June 19 June: Luigi's Mansion 2 July: NES World Championships August: Nothing September: Zelda October: Mario Party November: Mario and Luigi December: Nothing Maybe they'll sneak in Metroid Prime 2 + 3 in December? Apparently it's not a remaster just an upscaled port so it's possible.

Apparently it's not a remaster just an upscaled port so it's possible. Their only December titles are Smash (2018) and XC2 (2017). I think they realized it's better to release before December to take full advantage of holiday sales especially Black Friday. Prime 2 + 3 might be shadowdropped or get a separate announcement for a release soon.
BambiStar Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Charging up my Switch that has been dead for months to play Zero Mission new (playable!) Zelda is a GAG but nothing else really exciting for me at this time
elevate Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Happy to see playable Zelda; hoping that means they're ready to debut her as playable for the Switch 2 BOTW/TOTK style game. I like the remakes / remasters, too. My dad still has his working consoles (NES, SNES, PS1, N64, etc) but I haven't played a bunch of the games on there and playing them without clunky controls and with much better graphics is definitely the way to go. I just wait till they're discounted a little.
BambiStar Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Oh and 17+ N64 app means @Conker's Bad Fur Day on NSO eventually where is Diddy Kong Racing?

Magickarp Posted June 19 Posted June 19 The way Nintendo won E3 on a death rattling console You could argue Xbox won, but all the Direct games are coming out in the next few months, & the multiple dateless Xbox games aren't coming out for YEARS They only announced that many games cuz they had to distract from the thousands of devs they fired lbr. 6 2

Nintendo is for people who aren't insecure so I don't know how to help with that. If you want more mature games, maybe check out the Playstation thread. Their super mature adult 2024 lineup consists of LEGO Horizon Adventures and Astro Bot. 24
Spark Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Just now, Magickarp said: Ok... but did he lie? He's right but this is how Nintendo reveals their major games. Like we didn't know about the main "hook" of Tears of Kingdom until a month and a half before the game launched. I think the point of the Prime 4 trailer was to hype up the core Metroid fanbase that the game actually exists after 7 years, and to start the hype cycle for the game early. Metroid is kind of a flop franchise, so I doubt they have as much confidence as they do with Mario/Zelda to announce the game and release it in just a few months like they will for Switch 2 launch games. 1
Kern Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Mario & Luigi - looks like a game made for coop so IDK. I do like the graphics Disney Illusion Island - has anyone played this game? I saw it in retail for pretty cheap Funko Fusion - I.... I really like how this looks Might get this The New Denpa Men - I guess I like it. Not sure how it works with microtransactions tho, since it will be for free. Super Mario Party Jamboree - please be good, please be good, please be good... I love this series Ace Attorney - I never played these games so I have to get to know this series.
Rigalo Posted June 19 Posted June 19 (edited) On paper the direct was great but tbh there wasn't much for me. The things I really want were still absent (WW/TP switch, Fire Emblem) and not to be a hater but Prime 4 looked ROUGH. I thought it was Prime 2 remastered until the logo popped up also we've needed an updated NSO roadmap for, like, a year now Edited June 19 by Rigalo 2
ebaby Posted June 19 Posted June 19 I feel crazy for saying this but I still don't see the rush to end the Switch era (and I think Nintendo agrees...) 1

But Nintendo themselves confirmed Switch 2 will be announced before March 2025. And yes, you're a little crazy; did you see the graphics on some of those games in the Direct?
Rence Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Unemployed Kamiya has the nerve coming for Prime 4 after supervising the trainweck that was Bayonetta 3 1 11
lpd446 Posted June 19 Posted June 19 I thought they would redesign Sylux a little more. Either way I can't WAIT for Prime 4 Hopefully it runs ok on the Switch
