Ponzi Posted January 3 Posted January 3 So I started playing Skyrim for Switch on New Year's Eve and it's so so so good that I can't deal with what I'd been missing lol. Now I get why people say BotW and TotK feel Empty. And that's my fave video game series!

Skyrim is one of my favorite game of all time since it came out in 2011, and i think it aged rather well because you can still do some wacky stuff, abuse game mechanics, create drastically different builds on outer edges of spectrum and still don't lose anything, play your own way, without any level requirements for missions, at you own chosen time because questlines don't interfere. it's really kind of sandboxy but let's be real the combat and mechanics are absolute TRASH and were already outdated/boring when the game came out 1
aeult Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Happy Switch 2 year I just know the Mario launch title is going to eat hard 1

Bow is especially frustrating. I'm sticking with swords. I just love that there's so much going on. I have wacky/exciting stuff happening to me with each play.
Gourgeist Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I need a new Animal Crossing game on Switch 2 launch, NH was not it remove the crafting system and bring back the rude villagers! 1

They should make a seperate game for the little crafters and keep the mainline series for the girls who actually want to play a relaxing village sim. I'm afraid Nintendo won't have a pandemic to inflate sales this time! 1 1
Mouni9248 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Has anyone played Hogwarts Legacy on the switch? If yes, is it good?
Spark Posted January 6 Posted January 6 No offence, but some of the Little Villagers should go back and play New Leaf some time. I played the other week and was shocked how much worse it was to New Horizons. New Horizon's biggest mistake was not having a comprehensive road map for post-launch support.

The game itself wasn’t all that to me but technically, it was fine. Obviously, the visuals are extremely downgraded compared to PS5 but it looks and runs fine for a Switch game. One biggest difference is that it’s not an open world game on Switch, but a semi open world which annoyed way too many people for some reason.
Rigalo Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I’ve been playing Paper Mario on NSO for the first time ever and it’s SO cute and charming. I love NSO for being able to explore all of these older systems, and I owned a N64 so it’s very nostalgic. Now we just need GameCube on there 5

xXavril Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Been replaying tears of the kingdom AGAIN and I’m completely amazed with the game like it’s the first time I’m playing of course there are flaws and annoyances, but I’ve always been a huge breath of the wild fan so having an (in my opinion) upgraded version is awesome 1

Do you want some tips? Put Peach in the Lazy Shell with the Safety Badge Equipment. All characters should be level 30 - you can level up everyone super quick and easy by fighting the Speardovich replica boss in the final area of Weapon World. Give Mario the Attack Scarf (or Jinx Belt if you can’t get it) and your other character the Quartz Charm (I recommend Geno). Focus on killing the crystals first, starting with the Wind Crystal who causes status effects. 15 hours ago, Cult Leader 𐕣𐕣 said: Just finished Super Mario Wonder and Nintendo really outdid themselves Ive been slacking on video games for a WHILE and this is the first Mario game ive played from start to finish since I was a kid. I have a feeling that Switch 2 is coming in November so I might just wait until then. Nintendo has put a few games out of print so I think the announcement is almost here. 1
ATRL Moderator feelslikeadream Posted January 11 Author ATRL Moderator Posted January 11 Launching a Selects line 7 years into its life cycle??? Kind of a weird move, but it would at least feel basically like confirmation of backwards compatibility (which I expect anyway).

There’s speculation that they could just be updating boxes to say they’re backwards compatible, too, like XBox did for the Series X/S. Btw, Pyoro is posting spoilers for the next Nintendo Direct, if anyone’s interested. Be warned, this is a SPOILER.
