It just occurred to me the Gamecube service is exclusive to Switch 2, correct?

 

Maybe there's hope for a Switch port of Wind Waker HD/Twilight Princess HD since the Switch 1 won't have access to the gamecube games and I'm sure they're still going to support the system well into 2026/2027. There's still a chance

A flop direct overall. The biggest draw for me as others have mentioned are the game cube games... which is embarassing!

Games have been the same price since the SNES but development now costs well over 100x more for a AAA game. I get that nobody wants to pay more but if we want Nintendo to actually make games again instead of port and rerelease them this is the way forward. 

 

With Wooly World being confirmed in the direct and GameCube coming to NSO rainbow curse is the last meaningful Wii U exclusive. I expect Wii will join NSO this gen too since the systems are basically the same technically. They're out of **** to sell us again.

Yeah I won't be buying this, for this year at least. Hella expensive and barely any new first party games  The jokes write themselves

 

Also them treating Metroid Prime 4 as just some regular side game, when it should've been a launch title  Another 3m seller cap I guess

Well they were essentially marketing is as a reason to upgrade to the new Switch, no?

 

It's not like they showed many new first party games.
