Someone wrote that with the price of MK World, it's actually better to buy an actual kart :rip:

I'm a bit shocked by the price, I thought it was gonna by pricey but not like this, didn't expect it to be so close to the PS5/Xbox Series X at launch. :skull:

But also didn't see anything that would justify getting it at launch, for now it seems a wait until some more exclusive stuff comes out.

This was a good presentation without being extraordinary. We'll get many games during the year. Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong look fantastic.

On a strongly negative note: the prices are CRAZY especially here in Europe. 470€ the console and 80-90€ for a game it's pure madness, I hope they somehow flops.

Am I the only one not surprised about the price increases across the board? Like I understand the disappointment but we are living in a world with sky high inflation and the US is dealing with a disaster with tariffs. That was always going to result in a reaction from not only Nintendo but all companies. Sure corporate greed is at play but it's also just business at the end of the day.

Price increases in gaming will be the norm going forward. GTA 6 is rumored to be $100 retail. Mario Kart being $80 doesn't shock me. Nothing about what Nintendo announced today price wise was shocking to me. I'm not saying it's right or wrong but I think people need to get real about the current macro environment.

NINTENDO IS CHANGING $90 DOLLARS FOR EACH GAME!!? WTF!!!

******* bold of them, let's see how longs this lasts....

For now, it just seems to be Mario Kart World, because the new Donkey Kong is $70.

GC games are neat, but... are they just gonna port those old ass games with zero qol improvements? Like specifically in the case for Wind Waker since it had an enhanced port that fixed (or did it? I didn't actually play it myself) some of its draining late game sections.

F-Zero GX is very cool, though, especially with online multiplayer. Maybe I'll finally get to play that one since I missed on the original. :gaymuscat:

I'm assuming Donkey Kong is $70 because it's a very short game. I'm curious what they'll price the third party games and the Switch ports.

I wish I could switch to PS Portal but I'm to scared my internet won't handle it :rip:

Maybe this is a situation like with BOTW and Smash. They are more expensive than other Nintendo games in my country. So MKW would be the only so expensive game

we should've known the things to come with ToTK at 70€

for consolation, i know i'll be able to find "Cyberpunk Ultimate Edition" will be around 50€ for the console launch and it will be half price next year

They're out of their minds if that's true, especially when we just paid $70 for a game (TOTK) with hundreds of hours worth of content :skull:

third party is really the way to go if y'all want to build a decent library at affordable price :cm:

just be more picky with the scamtendo exclusives

Are we sure this $80/$90 price for Mario Kart isn't just a placeholder from some retailer? There's no way in hell they think that is a good idea. Especially, there's no way their greedy asses are discounting $30/$40 with the bundle. I think the official price of games across the board will be $70. It could also be that physical games are more expensive in the US only because of Trump's tariffs.

So the preorders from retailers also start from the 8th?

The fact this isn't even OLED so they can charge +200€ again in 2 years :suburban:

The real reason is because they know it will sell no matter what, let's be real. They had no reason to put TOTK's price that high to begin with, so this "content" excuse is stupid.

I have one and love it  In addition to remote play, they are beta testing game streaming for PS+ members. That said, there are so many Switch exclusives (including third party games) that I use both handhelds often.
