I wish I really cared about Mario Kart. I always enjoy it for like 10-15 hours and then I just never play it again. I also hate playing with others because I'm miserable (and my boyfriend sucks so though I relish a win, at a certain point it becomes sad and I start questioning my life choices, like why is he my boyfriend? )

wtf happened to Nintendo. Wii U might've flopped but ironically despite flopping because of the name confusion it still had more of its own identity than the Switch 2 does. 
 

Unique music themes, menu style etc. This silent copy paste is laaaame. I miss the past so much I've gone full boomer regarding gaming recently.

they went the wrong route. They should've made more affordable console and instead of focusing on 3rd party games, make smaller original ones for casual players.

This is exactly it. They're going to lose a lot of the casual market. It also is a Wii U situation where it seems like a Deluxe instead of a brand new console since it looks basically the exact same. This is a huge (and surprising imo) misstep from Nintendo.

oh well, less nintendo exclusives in my library this generation. i'm gonna be twice as picky as before. probably 1 exclusive per year

the rest of my switch 2 library will be 3rd party and indie games

This is exactly my issue. We saw it coming but Switch 1 wasn't powerful enough and I thought they'd at least try to find a middle ground. This really alienates casuals who can't justify dropping that much like they could on a Switch Lite and I'm one of the biggest Nintendivas going but I have a PS5 and a PS Portal to play any more demanding game handheld anyway  granted I'm one of the few people who bought that flop add on but I would still be more likely to pick a PS5 that I know will run it better.
 

Nintendo is about exclusives and it's like. Tears of the Kingdom 60fps (for extra money), wheelchair basketball and Pokemon XD. Is that really all

While I agree somewhat with the affordability angle, anything other than a switch 2 would've been a disaster imo. They fused their portable and home console developers together, so it was always going to be both! And the switch is a fine concept! It got me back into gaming, and many others. Maybe a bolder paint job could've marked it out more.

I really can't see this going like the Wii U or casuals being alienated just because it can also run better third party games. I mean, they're not going to entirely forget their first party side. If anything is going to impact the success of this console, it's the price, but even that is… super not shocking, exactly what was expected, and close enough in line with things like inflation that I don't think it'll make a material difference long term. (The actual game prices are maybe another story). There could always be a Switch 2 Lite down the road, there could be brand new Mario experiences like an Odyssey 2 and other such Nintendo titles to sell the system - I think it's ultimately going to go fine.
