I'm probably the biggest Mario Kart fan here, but I'm not buying a $500+ console for one game.

 

No 3D Mario, no 2D mario, no other launch games.... the C button being a complete nothing...

Now I don't think this was a good direct or anything, and the pricing of the games is a big blow to me (i'm still hoping for vouchers though), but i'm not sure why people expected a second first party launch title? They never release more than one in the same month, and the steady drip of games was part of the reason for the Switch's succes. They maybe could've hinted at some other games to build hype, but Nintendo usually doesn't reveal games outside a certain time window. 

 

What I will say is that this is the direct we needed in January, and most people would've been satisfied. I don't know why they waited so long.

They haven't announced their big holiday game yet. They definitely have something ready for Nov and it could be a Mario game indeed.
