I’ve just passed the halfway point in No No Kuni and I’m having so much fun with this game. I only play Wonder with my boyfriend so we’re still stuck in the early stages of the game.

I can’t wait to start SM RPG but I feel like it will be January before I get there.

Can't wait to play Mario RPG lol. I know they changed some small details but I hope the Toad with the bazooka line is still in there.

I wanna get Mario RPG but I have a small backlog of titles I need to start. Sonic Superstars was a bust (Sonic Mania did it better), Mario Wonder was cute but more of a party game and now I got Star Ocean 2 and Metal Gear Solid on deck before I can even look at Mario RPG.  Dis too much 😩

I played and beat the OG MRPG game and still own the strategy guide book for SNES version. :rip:  I plan on playing the switch version soon.

Meanwhile, Nintendo can go to hell with their Invincibility (worst power up ever) & Spring Feet Badge II challenges.  :mazen:

Crazy how MK8 has been out for 10 years and there is still no way to select the amount of laps you want, mission mode or even the 2 rider mode option for DD

but at least they finally  added a sound test, again after ten years :deadbanana4:

Loved SMRPG from beginning to end. Can't believe I never finished it when I was a kid.

I got myself Super Mario RPG and Ive been having lots of fun, never finished the game completely as a kid.

My only concern is that I'm already at 4 stars on my way to the 5th and I dont want the game to end so quickly :jonnycat: if it feels kind of short i might have to play it again

I feel the same way, I'm loving it so far but don't want it to end so soon:lakitu:

Just completed the new Mario RPG. I played the original on the Wii virtual console as a kid. The original is a classic, but it is far from a perfect game. Many improvements could be made to it

This remake is a glorified port. The only slight changes to the battle system make the game laughably easy, any challenge from the original has been removed and there is no harder difficulty. Just Breezy and Normal. Nintendo is making the game more “accessible” but why are they so against adding a hard/challenge mode?

It is a frame by frame remake. Which at times comes off as lazy. They knew that the game needed more original content, that’s why they added a few cheap cutscenes and a post game (which is just boss rematches). These additions do not warrant a $60 price tag.

The platforming sections are just as janky and unfun as the original. But no changes are made because they are so focused on recreating the original.

There were many areas that they could have made improvements. Every boss in the late game do the same 4-5 moves. Why does a fire dragon in a volcano use the attack Water Blast? They couldn’t animate new attacks? Just copy and paste everything from the original and call it a day

They have SNES games on switch online. They could have easily ported the original on there and it would be pretty much the same experience as this remake. This remake comes off as a lazy cash grab. I’m worried about the Thousand Year Old Door remake now. Hopefully that remake offers more than a direct port with fresh paint

Well then I'm glad I didn't get SMRPG since I just played the OG a few years ago and it looks like I'm not really missing out on anything new :bird:

In other news, I'm playing Hades right now and oh, Supergiant ATE on this one :jonny4:

It’s probably a remaster with remade assets and not a full-blown remake
