Most likely a bit later. There was a trailer for the Japanese direct, and we got... Just dance 2024.... 

 

 

I finally had some time to watch the direct and it was so underwhelming for me, thank god I wasn't expecting much.

 

I know I sound like such a hater, but SMBW looks as souless as the New Super Mario bros series. Nintendo, can you come up with something else? Tropical Freeze is still the best side scrolling platform game Nintendo has to offer at this point. SMBW looks like a fan made hack of NSMBU, even the logo is ugly.

Poor Daisy having her debut platform game being this one.

I hope Nintendo pays attention to how Peach blew up social media & give the game a respectable marketing budget.

 

Also did not expect Mario Wonder to clean up so much in trailer views & engagement. It's definitely attracting people outside of just "2D platformer" lovers.

 

Also, being released the same day as SM2 means some fans are going to be very confused why SM2 has to settle for #2 on most sales charts.

I just found out that the Direct was released around the same time the FFXVI reviews were dropped. Nintendo won’t let Sony breathe

I don't like the animation and I don't know why. It is simply not appealing to me. I think it is the background?

I did want Nintendo to change the New Super Mario Bros U animation style but this is not it. Visually, it's an upgrade but for playthrough I am not sure.

I am gonna have to wait and see. 

 

The game is going to be a massive success though, the trailer is already trending on  Youtube.

So with pikmin using a native wii emulator the odds of getting some Wii ports like jungle beat and chibirobo have suddenly increased

I think the background is a little bit too sparkly and weirdly detailed. I would also decrease a little bit the size of the characters including Mario. 

Too much focus on the visuality and not the actual game through.  It looks fun but not as good as it's predecessor.

Those new games are quite costly (mostly likely +$60) plus there are heaps of TV entertainment and sales going on with the Mario movie. Wont this affect dedicated Mario fans? Is releasing so many games within months in this situation a good strategy? 

 

The game is going to be a huge success, it will easily outsell the New Super Mario Bros U not just the Wii U one but the Switch version too.

Engage and Cereza are low points for their series

Detective Pikachu looks like an N64 game (and seems cringe)

 

At least we got Tears of the Kingdom and it looks like Pikmin 4 is gonna be a serve
