Thankfully I’ve got other outlets that cover the awards season so I don’t have to rely on her bad takes hihi 2
GivingCher Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 What the hell happens in Poor Things that she feels the need to bring up non-stop that it should be rated NC-17? I mean it's rated R for "strong and pervasive sexual content" and graphic nudity. Her prudishness never fails.

Arcadius Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 She says she tries to only review shows where there’s a lot of audience interest and then she reviews The Crown something that nobody talks about anymore.

Assassin Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Didn't she say she wasn't gonna review it since she didn't wanna drag Zack Snyder after he was gracious enough to give her an exclusive interview?

GivingCher Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Her not remembering what the Beef controversy is even about when she has to bring it (and the Thunderbolts not casting Ali Wong) up EVERY time she mentions the show is such a perfect summary of her

There are also penises on screen (none hard) and that's about it. From a thematic standpoint I can see why she'd be uncomfortable but there's nothing remotely wild enough for it to be NC-17. The sex scenes aren't "sexy" they're comedic and extremely absurd.
lgaga1fan Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Also her acting like Yorgos Lanthimos is extremely underground when The Favourite was a massive success just shows she really doesn't know much about the reach of films if the dollar signs arent above $100,000,000.
Arcadius Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Why is she convinced the box office will determine whether a film wins an Oscar or not? Not saying it can’t have an influence but it certainly doesn’t decide who wins.

Assassin Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Not her saying she can forgive Jonathan Majors. 1 1
Digitalism Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Is she going to have a single one take that is correct?

GivingCher Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 I wish she’d stick to how things like the Jonathan Majors situation affect the movies. Having a poll about his punishment is so…
