People like this aren't exactly experts on filmmaking.  People would've had a problem if the movie introduced random Japanese characters just to kill them off too. There's no pleasing the crowd who decided the movie was pro-military propaganda without even watching it. Notice how the ADHD girls who complained the movie was too long also somehow wanted it to include a whole other narrative that has nothing to do with the biopic Nolan was making.

That was only one of the criticisms aimed at the film. The people who have a problem with showing none of the human impacts of the bombing probably have other fundamental issues with Nolan’s script overall.

I don’t get how people say we are moving away from sequels and franchises films When she is already planning spin-offs and cinematic universes for Barbie & Mario💀 

 

like people do know these both have been billion dollar franchises for 30 years. It’s no different than what we have that people are complaining about.  every Top movie this year and last is apart of a major IP 🤷‍♀️

I think the last part is why people are so sick of it  it’s just not sustainable the interest will dry up eventually.
 

Not that they’ll ever entirely stop making movies based on IP but it can’t be 99.9% forever

I hope she just doesn't realize what she's saying here. She really lacks the depth and vernacular to critique this type of film. Oppenheimer was a Jewish man who recognized the need to act quickly to end the war, only to become the destroyer of worlds he was trying to defeat... the way she has NO depth whatsoever and probably can't recognize this. Her siding with Truman in this scene tells me what I need to know.  
Did she expect Oppenheimer to be written as a purely likable character? Because despite her complaints about us not seeing the destruction he caused, she kind of sounds pro-bombing from this take.

And her comparing an ACTUAL person in a biopic to the Joker just shows the lack of depth in her analysis. Strip ha of her film degree.
