I mean she isn’t wrong. They do make a difference, a $5million difference for Transformers vs Spider-Verse. :cm:

Get this: Box office data firm EntTelligence is calling a tie in regards to admissions between Rise of the Beasts and Across the Spider-Verse with 4.3M apiece. How’s that? The photo-finish ranking vs box office can be attributed to pricing and availability with premium seating: Transformers had an average ticket price of $13.51, and saw 31% premium foot traffic, while Spider-Verse had an average ticket price of $12.49 and premium foot traffic of 9% (this despite Transformers having 399 Imax grossing $6.4M and 700 PLF screens).

I still find it weird how every Marvel movie must hit $800M for her💀😆 if you go by box office logic, Marvel only needs $400M to not be a disappointment. Average Marvel movie is $150M-$200M. Double that for marketing & Theater cuts and it’s still only $400M -$500M total.💀 even if you stretch it 700M+ is amazing for any movie. And marvel has had 4 of those in the last year

marvel has grossed about 30b with 32 movies or about 925m on average....

i think its case by case but  marvel SHOULD be grossing about ~$800m.

HOWEVER if you want to talk profit, marvel projects make a profit as soon as they hit $400-500m

Oh that’s what she means. Like averages and medians. Ok that makes more sense.

Grace was right about Strange World. I’m 30 mins into this movie and it’s borderline unwatchable

She’s right about theaters needing to step it up. There’s only two IMAX in the Austin area and they both suck

Do premium screens really make a difference like what Grace is saying? Legit question. I always thought the average person wouldn’t care what screen they watch a movie on but I guess I could be wrong. My country barely has any premium screens anyway.

Happy for Spiderverse but it’s depressing how TLM is doing. Either racism won or people are just tired of Disney remakes overall, which is sad considering it’s a good movie. The crowded release schedule really made all these movies suffer. Super Mario Bros was really smart (or lucky) to have released with no competition. Makes me wonder why no one else released in April :spin:

The closest IMAX to me is like 35 minutes away. :rip:

At this point I’m not against a big tech company like Amazon acquiring a theater chain because at least they have the funds to make more premium theaters.

Movie tickets in my city are like $30 each for a premium screen💀 I remember back in the day when you could go to the movies for only like $5😭

Who’s she gonna blame when Flash doesn’t open to 100+ mil like she said it needed to? She already started pushing that people don’t want to see LGBT+ leads.

It’s pretty obvious who she’s going to blame it on, I mean she blames almost everything on him.

The flash is gonna open less than 75M because the general public don’t care. Like the red Carpet is happening right now and it’s making no noise.

even the CW Gotham nights is trending over it💀

It depends on the film. Almost a third of Avatar 2's total tickets sales were for PLF screens.

Just last weekend, almost a 3rd of Transformers tickets sales in the US were PLF.
