 Yeah this breakdown was whack? She’s under the impression this will be more depressing than Oppenheimer? Girl WHAT? And then she’s mad Barbie doesn’t wanna **** Ken, and gets happy when she sees a stereotypical couple in Barbie land? Most of her takes were just completely off in this video it made me so aggravated, and she truly could not for one second take her biased dislike for Margot aside and commend her but took every second to bolster Ryan’s performance. It’s just yucky, I have never been angry w her before but the stark conservative angle really pissed me off today maybe just bc of all the crazy **** we’re dealing with on a daily like the bs target pride collection being taken down, like girl let us have a fun campy movie !

I just watched Little Mermaid last night and a few minutes out of the theater it hit me: this woman clearly doesn't have a damn clue about acting chops. How could she even think about Melissa McCarthy being nominated even shortlisted for an Oscar's with such a mid performance? Lmao

The movie is cute. It benefits from all the tech upgrade of filming underwater. It's a nice live action. Way better than Beauty and the Beast, e.g.

I think it's unfair to compare it to the animated version. It's sily to expect the animals to be as charming as they are in drawing form. I've seen some people walk out of the theater very frustrated with that.

The mental gymnastics over it having any sort of message have been wild. And the people that would be offended by a feminist message would never see a f*cking BARBIE movie in the first place. Imo, it's more important for Barbie to appeal to its core audiences (women, teens, 18-30s, and gays) than for it to be as basic and "4 QuAdRaNt" as possible.

The only issue with Barbie is the exact age range they're going for. Is it an all-ages affair with the odd adult joke or is it specifically teens and up? Either one would work but it needs to be clear. WB needs to decide on a cut if they haven't already.

I just watched her spoiler review of The Little Mermaid after watching it in theaters today and I’m really glad she enjoyed most of the new changes in the movie! I just found it funny that when it came to discussing Eric’s character, she decides to talk about how nice his castle looks 

 

I cannot see the movie work without Flounder and Scuttle. Yes, they play minor roles but how can she say that she would’ve completely cut them off? Other than that, definitely agree with most of her review.
