She’s so weird with the Barbie movie and constantly talking about how “political” it is

She was so hung up on being turned off already that she missed that the trailer DID say if you love Barbie this movie is for you

Wait is this movie rated PG? I was expecting it to be more of an adult movie. It looks horrible. :rip: Grace was right! But the marketing has been on point so maybe I'll be wrong.

The way she didn’t laugh ONCE for Margot’s jokes :dies:

Grace is going to lose this Barbie war

Another Mario situation

Her politics are sort of weird. It's like she wants there to be controversy so she can be right and justify all this.

I hate stupid people so much. What else would a Barbie movie be about? She's the epitome of feminism AND sexism. Of course politics are going to be involved. There's no other choice.

F+cking hell. :deadbanana2:

Grace is a closeted sexist woman. She refused to laugh at anything said by a woman and lights up whenever a man joke is featured. And she chose to completely omit the fact that they said if you love AND if you hate Barbie this is for you. She desperately wants this movie to fail bc of Margot, can’t we have a movie that’s not targeted to straight super hero bros? Or is that too much for her brain

Yes, Grace full on never smiling ONCE when a woman made a joke in the trailer was so obvious. Yet, Ryan opens his mouth and she bursts out hollowing. Very gross.

The problem I had with the trailer was none of it was funny.

Her face was giving “I don’t know about this one” until that Ryan Gosling scene :rip:

I’m actually kinda surprised with her reaction. I thought the trailer was good and thought she would love it too considering how excited she was. And not her mentioning politics and the conservatives yet again, and also coming for Disney too. Another Super Mario Bros situation I fear. If this ends up successful, she’s gonna be talking about those things all over again during Movie Math.

Yeah it was so transparent, she needs to say a man to consummate her opinion of anything honestly. When there’s movies with a predominately male cast and themes she rarely critiques it this much. But when it’s for the girls and gays she goes on about the damn politics. Every time a movie flips and it so much as mentions a gay person in the plot she relates it back to us as the reason of its underperforming. She should just be a fox movie correspondent atp

The movie looks super fun and I don't get why people get so triggered if something is feminist :toofunny3:

She literally missed the "if you love Barbie" and just saw the hate one :ahh:

The "Have you ever think about dying?" line was funny. Much more than Ken saying "Okay" or whatever she laughed at. Grace is just a woman hater.

Grace comes off sexist, but let’s not act like her takes are egregious. She’s trying to represent viewpoints of average movie goers, and some of these movie goers are conservative or misogynistic. Regardless, expectations for a Barbie movie might not be met by this take on the character, which @SmittenCake has explained to me is a massive departure from the actual Barbie lore.

I get that but also at the same time it just seems that grace is always prepared to take a chance to critique something of a woman rather when she would give a chance to a man. It also isn’t that hard to realize that this movie isn’t being marketed to men, the same way the Barbie doll wasn’t marketed to men either. It’s okay to have a female (and gay) centric movie that portrays men and the stereotypes that they project onto women as the plot.

Shes giving guy who "plays the devils advocate" but actually just wants to give his controversial opinion

this is the first im truly upset with miss Randolf :ace: shes negative towards every "risky" dialogue or scene in the trailer. I feel like she wants this movie to be a boring romantic comedy

and ofc she cannot compliment Margarot for once :ahh:

i guess shes talking from a conservative point of view but at this point it seems like it is really the way she thinks :skull:
