There's no point in what ifs because it truly doesn't move the conversation forward to point out an hypothetical scenario where a queen's skin is a different color. Villains usually get the short end of the stick anyway when it comes to Drag Race, so for once I'm happy we're getting someone willing to give TV at the cost of potentially being hated by the fanbase because almost no one does anymore.

 

Speaking of Luxx, most people (me included) enjoyed her shady persona at the beginning of the season, but it grew old very fast as the episodes went by, so who's to say that's not Jane's fate as well?

I am watching this season and liking it. 

 

Nymphia already feels like the winner though I guess Sapphira is incredibly strong as well. I don't see anyone else having what it takes at this time but it's early and I like them all. 

 

I feel like it's too obvious Plane is doing it for the camera's and she isn't good at being shady like Mistress and Luxx were. Like idk I guess we will see where this goes but Jane did kinda bad in the ball if we are being honest and it really wasn't a good week for her to come for another girl who wasn't even in the bottom and didn't deserve to be. Like it all feels too forced, other villains felt more organic. I am glad that we are still getting girls who aren't afraid to do this though considering how the fans treat every villain.

She attacks Megami because she's the "fat" girl and the fanbase wont defend her.

 

She attacks Amanda because she's "busted" and therefore feels it valid.

 

Loosey MADE remarks towards Luxx or they were bickering over a challenge placement or performance role in the comp.

I think it’s the fabric, busy jewelry on the bust and the mono-red color (I know that was the challenge) that takes it down a notch for me. Nymphia’s just looked expensive and fashion, while also being whimsical and a little campy. The yellow boots making the otherwise plain colors pop was such a nice touch too. Nymphia has THAT eye where she knows just the right details something needs.

i don't think a design challenge winner has to be couture. Trinity's is markedly NOT high fashion, it's trashy latex junk from a sex shop but obviously still a masterful execution to snatch it to her body like that and just fabricate an overall high-impact look that is not necessarily tasteful but definitely DRAG in all caps

I feel like the Twitter Drag Race accounts are so…soft/delusional. Like, I have a lot of issues with the Ball being early in the season, but at least it means queens get to show more of their looks before they’re eliminated. 

 

It’s not unfair that design challenges happen early in the season, when queens know there’s always a Ball/Design challenge, and there’s basically always one early in the season. 
 

And while I think queens deserve to get more support when it comes to funding their looks, these queens are all in the industry and likely know a RuGirl they can talk to about the process. None of the US girls should be surprised about the costs, or be unaware of how to prepare/minimize costs.

Not to mention that that's literally why they do split pemieres and non-elimination episodes at the beginning of the season. 1st outs never got that much screentime before S12 and the girls now have tons of opportunities to show off their looks either through insta, dragcon, press, EMMYS etc etc. Plus, they can save these looks for the inevitable spin-off call.

I still like Trinity’s look, it’s definitely in my top 10 looks of all time. It’s super well constructed, which is definitely a big part of the assignment.

 

But for me, even though things don’t need to be couture to be great on a drag show, I like when something has an interesting take that looks good and I didn’t expect. Trinity’s is constructed super well, and it looks great though

Like for all of Drag Race’s faults, it’s probably the easiest way for someone who’s broadly artistic/fashionable to get a place in celebrity culture.

I couldn't watch the episode live but I saw there were a lot of reactions about something Plane Jane did to Amanda, how she's an actual *****, etc..... Imagine my reaction when I finished both the regular ep and Untucked and that was it

 

The wannabe unique *** with the elf ears actually saying "we're all together in Untucked for the first time, why are you being a *****?" This was EPISODE ONE.
