Also 2023 being the first year where we had Drag Race basically every week is kinda wild, in the best way possible :chick3:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure 2022 had some Drag Race free weeks scattered across the year, but 2023 has been non stop since the first season started airing (and 2024 will probably be the same).

I wonder how long the international seasons will be sustainable. Obviously Holland is canceled, and I’ve seen rumors of other franchises getting the axe but I hope it’s not true. I haven’t watched every season but I love that they are there to get to one day (also GAS is such a fun concept to me, it better deliver)

I may be suffering from drag race burnout atm. I am not as hyped for this season as prior regular seasons

I think most international franchises including Thailand will get 5 to 6 seasons at least. Holland is rumored to come back as a revamped show. Only Belgium and Sweden are in danger. I’m curious to see if new franchises will be announced. Argentina, Colombia, Ireland, South Africa, Taiwan and maybe Poland as I heard a rumor they are looking into developing one.

I'm living for the Sugar and Spice shade from Xunami. Those two have both become so irrelevant, btw. I guess you can't capitalize on your RPDR fame when you have no talent to speak of :skull:

And I literally watched every one of them. I think I’m gonna stop watching international franchises bc it’s making me so jaded and cynical to the overall scripting over the show. In addition, the queens are sadly becoming a dime a dozen, it’s hard for any single one of them from any franchise to really serve Uniqueness lol

 

I’ll only watch if I hear great things.

I hate how they don’t show the ages of the queens in the confessionals anymore. I know they gave that the chop ages ago but still it annoys me :deadbanana4:

I thought they did at least in the first episode of the season.

The preview already shows me with I dislike about the newer Drag Race seasons: every conversation sounds like we’ve heard it before. ‘First one in feels correct’ how many times did we hear that already? :rip:

From what I heard on the spoiler discord, it’s being revamped by Videoland with a new host, most likely VVC. Not sure when casting is expected to start but they apparently want to release it next fall/early winter. Videoland was having some financial trouble hence why it took so long for season 3 to happen but things are in order again. They might do a DU situation by casting some Belgian queens. So like 7 Dutch and 3 Belgian queens.
