I guess back then you're right, because challenge performances mattered a lot in more in choosing a winner. Nowadays we have people like Willow winning when I can't clearly remember anything they did during the season lol.

Okay like, I remember Willow won a challenge, but for the life of me I cannot begin to remember what challenge it was. I can't even remember if it was a fashion challenge or a comedy challenge lol.

It really was a season made for a comedy queen. The runways were as camp as it gets: naked, dead, half/half, conjoined twins, beard… and even the ball had a comedy element for the first time with the Hello Kitty thing

People call Symone a mannequin but she can hold her own in comedy, while Violet is basically exactly that. Sure she can sew and that’s great, but she is fashion and that’s it.

Symone was literally in the bottom 2 for a comedy challenge though

 

Overall, Violet's skillset is more varied.

• Violet won a dancing challenge.
• She placed high in the Glamazonian Airways performance challenge.
• Both her and Symone delivered a decent Snatch Game but I'd give Violet a slight edge.
• She held her own in the Despy's comedy challenge.

I think Symone is naturally charismatic and she's hands down my favourite recent winner, but Violet is the stronger drag queen imo.

Yeah I remember now, it was the ball. Willow’s victory there wasn’t even very decisive. Several other people could easily have won, namely Angeria who many people felt was robbed there.

 

Willow’s run was weird because she was consistently good in every single challenge, but she really lacked memorable standout moments like Angeria in the teasers challenge or Camden in the Bowie runway. Sometimes I feel like Camden was robbed, but I do love  Willow and I was disappointed  that Camden kind of made her entire finale about that one Bowie runway. I wanted Camden to win before the finale, but then after she kept referencing that runway in her finale performance and in the lip sync, I was over it.

Violet having not only a “good” snatch game but also “better” than Symone’s…  The Vilet stans always resort to delusion to convince us Corset is better than she is.

 

Symone also won 2 comedy related challenges and should have won a 3rd (Bossy Rossy). To say she’s not at least competent with comedy, especially compared to Violet is wild to say the least. Symone also won a performing challenge (Condragulations), so Violet’s payola Glamazon win means nothing there either.

 

Make your arguments about Violet being better in fashion (she’s not imo.. she’s a Dita Von Teese cosplayer with Mugler outfits occasionally), but she’s not seeing Symone in comedy. Their appearances off the show only confirm this more.

The new edits are great. Gives a lot more context to things that confused me in the condensed edits, like Anetra initially going for Gordon Ramsay in Snatch Game then being told in walk arounds by Ru to change to his sister or mother, so we got Georgina. I thought it would be the same episodes with removed segments put back in but pretty much every second or third line is new.

I sincerely thought that Angeria was going to win for the first half of the season. After snatch game she just kind of… fizzled out. She missed some very obvious hints from Michelle during the music video challenge and tbh, if production didn’t want her to be in the finale it would’ve been a top four. 
 

Willow did well in almost every challenge despite only winning one. I remember the teaser challenge but with her thinking it was the “bitchellor” and also her nightmare doll runway further in the season. She’s not the best winner in recent history but she didn’t fail as hard as some of them either.

i still think the angeria fizzling out narrative was way too forced by production. they kept her out of the top in challenges where she did well to push it but i think anyone paying attention could see she didn't fade anywhere near as hard as production wanted us to believe she did. she was great in the panels challenge, did better than camden in the roast (who was then given the high spot for some reason), and had one of the better (although dire) snatch game performances

 

season 4 is clearly the worst of the first six seasons

The way Symone couldn't serve a proper hairline for MONTHS after the show because Gigi obviously stopped funding her 

 

 

 

But noOOoOo, it's the corset that ONLY has fashion, as if she... didn't win the dance challenge on her season, didn't have the best solo number and when she did Mistress Violet?

Miss Violet, the single best garment of the show chanteuse, won on a season made for a comedy queen. So now what? 

 

She is an actual aerialist. Like I'm sorry but what does Symone do except serve charisma off-stage? She served the same thing in the lip syncs four times and then managed to bore us on Britney Spears songs...

if we're gonna take things there then Symone is basically just a comedy queen. Her biggest competition was... Gottmik  

Symone got outshined on snatch game by a fashion queen like... THEE Symone would have been OUT by episode 5 on season 2, where Sahara would have sent her packing

Baby, they were judged in pairs so bottom 6... out of 10. Oh no, what a sad moment for the girl that never had to lip sync.

The way Robin Fierce is so likeable

 

I'm actually shocked 'cause this edit turned Sugar & Spice a little bit more unlikeable to me somehow. They really shined in that shortened edit.

 

Jax is as unlikeable as ever.

 

Mistress seems a liiitle bit more invisible now. In the 45 min edit it really felt odd that she hadn't had a win yet by ep 6 but with this edit it somehow makes more sense I can't explain it

No, they were not Ginger was very clearly a safe while Kandy was bottom two. Fame got great reviews for her jokes, while Violet was panned. Facts are facts.

... And yet Ginger was being critiqued while there was one team safe and one team won, that's exactly my point.

 

I guess critiqued in pairs but judged individually is the correct terminology or what ever lol

 

I just rewatched it before commenting so unless you're gonna give untucked timestamps regarding Violet being panned that just isn't true. They were panned together (as a whole Ross called them low-energy), but Fame's humor was called modern by the guest judge (and that's it)

 

Violet also had a serviceable acceptance speech so she was never going to be in the bottom 2 over Fame

I don't even hate Violet like that, but how you gonna try and portray her worst episode in her season as some kind of triumph?
