not Bob saying the 3 worst seasons are All Stars 1, All Stars 6 and season 14 :deadbanana2:

Of the seasons I’ve seen, season 7, season 11 and All Stars 8 are the only ones I thought were actually bad. Season 7 had by far the worst challenge lineup of any season to date, season 11 had a very weak cast, and All Stars 8 had both those problems and many more

Maybe this is like, wild and ignorant of me to say, but whatever I’m gonna say it. I feel Yvie and Violet are very weak winners and in some of the harder seasons like seasons 5 and 6, I could see neither of them even making it to the finale.

S4 is the worst out of the earlier seasons for me. S13 and AS5/AS1 are the worst from their respective formats tho.

Um why did another Drag Race YouTuber I watch just upload the exact same video as Bob within like an hour of each other? :deadbanana:

Violet won in a season essentially made against her, this isn't the take you think it is imo

Kayla’s video is already off to a much more agreeable start than Bob’s for me by ranking 11 as the worst regular season lol

Violet HATES working together. S7 wasn't just filled with lame comedy challenges; they were all team challenges. I'd love to see what Violet would do for the perfume commercial

Ugh your post is annoying to me for 2 reasons

1 I don’t know what “the take you THINK it is” is supposed to mean? Like I’m not particularly proud of this take or invested in it, I didn’t present it as being edgy or absolute

2 I don’t think you know what you’re talking about at all. The season was not against Violet, it was *for* her or a queen just like her. It is very old and well known tea that Ru said word-for-word on his podcast they wanted a young fashion queen to win season 7 to contrast with the previous 3 winners, and that’s part of why Pearl and Fame were so favored.

So maybe you are the one with the take that isn’t what you think it is!

Yvie definitely benefited from competing at a time when having a unique take on a challenge or a look already put you ahead of half the girls. You didn’t have to fully execute, you just needed a cool concept. Even on AS7 she was marching down the runway with concepts that were only half-baked. Willow’s no top tier winner, but even comparing their packages and characters you can see how much more thought was required for Willow.

Even from Gigi to Symone, you can tell how Gigi phoned in looks (wearing a hat and blazer for half the runways) and characters (playing the same robotic mean girl in every comedy challenge after Snatch Game), and they made sure Symone came back with more intentionality.

Season 11 was also just a very weak cast. Soju, Kahanna and Mercedes were all nowhere near ready for Drag Race and should not have been casted, not even as filler queens.

Shuga, Ariel, Plastique, Honey and Scarlet were at least ready for Drag Race, but they were all forgettable filler queens that didn’t particularly excel at anything.

Silky and Ra’Jah were better than most of the aforementioned queens but neither of them were anywhere near ready to win, and also I think they pulled the worst out of Ra’Jah. A’Keria had all the skill to win but not the personality, and Vanjie had the personality but not the skill.

The only other contestant besides Yvie who was winner material was Brooke Lynn, but Brooke was kind of boring and lacked perspective, which made it particularly easy for Yvie to beat her since having a unique perspective is what Yvie does best.

Sorry, but season 11 is the pits imo. :rip:

Compare season 11 to seasons 5 and 9, where it feels like almost every single person who made it to the second half of those seasons was winner material. Season 11 I… kind of feel like nobody in the entire cast was winner material at the time. :rip:

Yes? I’m confused what you’re confused about

Also, the part of season eleven where Yvie criticizes Ra'Jah for... not doing well enough in the competition? Not trying hard enough? Is one of the most bothersome parts of all of Drag Race for me. It is a huge pet peeve of mine when things happen to be going well for someone in life, and they get all haughty about it and start talking down to other people. Yvie did fine in the competition, but of course she was favored by production just like every single other finalist is. Loosey proved there's nothing you can do to get into the finale if production doesn't want you there, and Pearl proved you can get into the finale even with a terrible track record if production really wants you there.

My point is that Yvie had no right to act superior to Ra'Jah, and not only that, but the way she kicked Ra'Jah while Ra'Jah was already down was so unempathetic and immature. Yvie gave Ra'Jah no grace and never stopped to ask herself how she would react if she were in Ra'Jah's place. Oh but of course, Yvie made it clear she would never be in Ra'Jah's place, because Yvie was just so much more creative and she worked so much harder than Ra'Jah. And the whole thing came full circle when the tables turned on Yvie in All Stars 7, and Yvie was now the unfavored contestant, and Yvie was so unhappy about it she's been complaining ever since.

I thought Ra'Jah's response to Yvie was appropriate. Just like Ra'Jah said, Yvie was not nearly sickening enough to be acting superior to anyone.

I wish when Yvie complained about All Stars 7, Jinkx would give her the same kind of condescending "don't get bitter, just get better" response that Yvie gave to Ra'Jah. But of course Jinkx wouldn't do that, because Jinkx was never foolish enough to think that doing better on Drag Race than someone else actually made her a better drag queen than them.

Rajah was everything during S11. I hated how fake she became during AS6

And then Yvie went to Drag Con in that T-Shirt and pretended not to understand why the people who spent money to go to DRAG con expected her to show up in DRAG.

Yvie is very annoying to me.

And THEN she showed up in All Stars 7 and harassed us all with the worst forced fake-laugh in Drag Race herstory.

Gather her, your take was very right

People call Symone a mannequin but she can hold her own in comedy, while Violet is basically exactly that. Sure she can sew and that’s great, but she is fashion and that’s it.

Bob’s list is okay I guess. The obvious blemish is S4 being #1… there’s just no way.

A lot of the more recent seasons are getting flack for having too much filler but good lord… there was like 3 queens who could have possibly won S4, Chad, Willam and Sharon. MAYBE Latrice. Phi Phi (S4 version) and Dida making it so far speaks volumes to how weak the season was.

The fact that Sharon is also a disgusting racist doesn’t help the season either. It was pretty meh/bad back then and her scandals only made it age worse. I don’t see a scenario where that should be #1.

I think Latrice absolutely could have won, in fact I see no reason she isn't right up there with Sharon and Chad. What is Latrice missing?

Chad was a bit more polished and occupied a similar space of drag as Latrice, I didn’t see Chad getting shafted for Latrice if that was the route they wanted to go. I didn’t see a win for her once Snatch Game happened
