tbf Heidi was low/bottom for snatch and next week is a challenge she bottomed on season 12. I could've seen her having a rough few weeks if she already felt overlooked

Kandy's generally had some of the better runways this season and her makeup is flawless

Maybe it’s me, but I think the reason Heidi’s comments towards Kahanna in the SG seemed “meaner” to her was the seating arrangement. Obviously we’ve seen queens make comments during the SG, while in character, to another queen who is flopping. However, it seems impersonal because of the two rows their seated in, while this time it’s just 3 contestants all on the same floor level, and it makes it more personal.

Kahanna also said she told Heidi she had a panic attack before Snatch Game cause she was so nervous about it, so I understand where Kahanna comes from

Heidi was being weird to Kahanna in Snatch Game. If true Kahanna had an emotional moment before Snatch Game, and Heidi was in there saying "there you go sis" to her....yeah, I would feel some type of way too, it felt mean spirited just watching it for the first time

 

Honestly I think the show will have a change of culture soon. The queens are so fed up, like the iconic queens and even the S15 girls are tired and shading the show. It's not a good look and it just feels like it's time for a big change. I don't know how much longer I see Drag Race going on how it is now, the format and hosts need a shakeup.

 

I also think the conversations about financing an appearance on this show will continue to be an issue. I don't see any resolution in sight. Doing drag alone is expensive, it's an investment. Going on the show is no different. It's up to that individual to decide if the appearance on the show is worth it financially for them.

 

That said, it opens up a whole new can of worms about who the show will benefit financially. The edit can make or break a queen, clubs literally won't book "controversial" queens if the edit is bad and the fans are attacking them. Then there's being an early out, not getting to showcase anything you spent the money to create for the show. 

 

It's a big mess. I love the show and want it to survive. But I don't think the way it's carrying on now is sustainable for much longer.

i think it's just because heidi was doing a made up character so there was no context for her sniping at kahanna so much. usually, it's someone playing a real person known to be bitchy or sassy taking jabs at the others. also, it seemed targeted at kahanna directly vs. her character, at least in how it was edited, so it came off particularly awkward.

 

OT: this season is maybe the worst ever?

Lala was perfectly safe this snatch game to me.

I meant in terms of the comedy. Kandy is literally always herself in every comedy or acting challenge haha- but I will say I’ve actually grown to like her this season

Isn’t that exactly the reason for the “fame games” every queen gets to showcase every look (on untucked) but at least they are addressing the issue. It is also not “necessary” to spend tens of thousands of dollars in order to do well. A great runway MAY save you from the bottom once or twice or it can be a deciding factor in a close win but plenty of queens have made the finale with less than stellar runways…Jinkx, Adore, Ginger, Bob, Spanky, Rajah, Jujubee (x3), Silky, Kandy and more I am sure.

Jimbo would have dominated on any season, including AS7 and eventually on AW2. I don’t know who they could of cast on this season to put up any sort of fight, Jimbo is just that good sans dancing.

Can we all agree that the LSA format (as much fun as it is to see more of the former queens) needs to go? If this season has highlighted anything, it’s that we need more from these girls. I’m not excusing Jimbo’s lip syncing skills but this season truly needs the queens to showcase ALL of their talents (because thus far I’m seeing some queens that excel at comedy… two dancers… and… well… Trinity the Tuck’s leftover fillers).
 

If they wanted to keep it a democracy, they could have some equivalent of a coin toss so that one of the LSFYL queens holds a lip stick of their choosing and the other holds the lip stick that the queens all voted for (including that queen).

Up against the AS7 girls? Surely not with Jinxx, Raja and The Vivienne?

Jimbo hate train is... surprising to me? like what there is not to like? she's a fully realized character and excels at so many things (except performing, but that's another story)

Yeah Jimbo is All Winners level good. Give her 2-3 years of opportunities, touring the world getting them coins, this ***** could come into an All Winners and potentially do a Ben Dela Creme. Unless they got Bob and Bianca in it, she's got it in her to win a second crown. (if she doesn't get booted this season or get so big that she doesn't want to do RPDR anymore.)

I love Jinkx, she is my favorite Queen but imo Jimbo’s comedy is exactly what tickles Ru the most and the only Queen I could see coming close is Bendela if she stays out of her own way (unlikely).

 

You’ve got to remember that a majority of the challenges are comedy based and even the ones that aren’t if you can incorporate comedy you have an upper hand. The ONLY challenge that does not have a comedic advantage is design. Even makeover challenges can sway in favor of comedy.

 

For the current Drag race format, with Ru as host NO ONE could beat Jimbo unless she manages to get put in the bottom and sent home, and frankly after UKvTW I don’t think Ru would put her in the bottom even if she bombed.
