Oh i'll say this... I probably was the biggest hater of this season pre-airing. After the absolute most awful unwatchable season i've seen (All Fillers 6) looking at an even weaker cast made me become a OAS8H from the jump. Truly.

 

But...

 

I'm very much enjoying this season. Lowkey, at this point, more than S15.

I just know they're going to f*ck it up (already are with the LaLari payola) like all season past AS2 but right now i think there's tension, Kandy keeps it entertaining and weirdly, Heidi is kinda being the mess of the season in a good bitter, angry way. Kahana and Jimbo are giving me the lewks. Jaymes is being the voice of reason but still messy, Alexis Michelle is pretty but ridiculous and doing the most as usual.

 

So far, All Fillers 6 part 2 : THE REMIX is surprisingly the sh*t out of me, y'all

All of what i'm loving about this season so far is going to get ruined by Ruple and the rest of the production. Just watch.

All of the people left in this season are bringing something to it besides LaLari and Jessica Wild the next two weeks are going to be a monumental riggamorris MESS.

I do like the AS8 cast but most of its rudemptions so far (like LaLa being in the top for Ball, Jaymes' top placements) feel very forced. I guess they saw how liked TKB and Ra'Jah were after AS6 and decided to run with it. I still like the queens and what they bring though, Jessica, Jimbo, Alexis, Heidi are doing it for me. Kasha was robbed btw!

Ra’Jah spent $4100 total between her three seasons, which is pretty much equal to what Heidi paid for just for S12

Ra’jah numbers dont tell the whole picture. She is not accounting time, labor and designs. All the girls who cant sew have to pay for that. And some of her outfits did look cheap (saying this as someone who was rooting for her to win AS6) 
Then again anything over 12K is excessive. 1K per episode seems reasonable

At least girls like Alaska have created their own platforms outside of the WOW machine. What has Yvie done besides flop on AS7??

And even then Alaska still covers the show extensively. The girls are not going to separate themselves from the bag for the sake of making a point.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I don’t think they were undeserved. It’s just I barely remember her contributions on the show. She just isn’t someone I remember when I think of that season, but it may be her more calm demeanor that indeed did not fit the vibe of the other girls.

Personally cannot grasp how someone can spend more than $15k for a show that is at most 16 episodes especially when you present something busted/ugly

and she's not a fashion queen to be spending like that. and i don't think she found her aesthetic yet or it's very tacky.

Ppl were always gonna write this season off for having “some stars” but I’m also having fun with it. I’m a sucker for a glow up tho and this season is obviously supposed to play into that. Tho I’d argue really only Kahanna and ig? Jaymes have done/look considerably better than their original run

Re costs,

 

I mean even on an All Stars season they probably have to prepare 15+ looks. In the first episode of AS8 alone they showcased what, 4 looks? Most queens do a unique wig for each look so have to buy all of those wigs + pay to get them styled, plus all of the looks they just have to perform challenges in. Plus you know they are all spending extra so they don’t look busted on All Stars.  Was Heidi spending 40k reasonable based on what she’s shown so far? No, but, not really shocking to me either

Sure Kahanna is bombing comedy/acting challenges but if we’re speaking relatively so are most of the comedy/acting girls. She just slayed me so hard the first episode I can’t help but think she’s shown more talent than half the cast so far

 

completely agree with the Jessica part, she came in and completely snatched the “rudemption” arc despite doing well her original season  I came into this not paying much attention to her but she’s one of my faves on the cast now

And it showed, which is why she better NOT step foot on AW or she will find her self more embarrassed than Yvie.
