Uh oh, I don't know how I feel about the finales being filmed on the new stage from now on. Yes it's bigger than before but still not as big as the theatres they used to do them in. Even last year's final lipsync, while miles better than say S14's, didn't feel as grand bc of how little space there was for the girls to move.

Probably come down to better cost and control. Filming on a established set in a sound stage gives them total control of the environment (if also reduces leaks I guess too) and they save money not renting out a theatre.

 

But I do get the disadvantage as it doesn't feel as 'grand.'
