Suzie's mother looked so over it the minute she entered the werk room :deadbanana2:

She did. :rip:

That said, if what I'm thinking is true then I can relate to Suzie so much - having parents that support you but, at the same time, just don't get you. I feel like Suzie's mom is doing her best to be tolerable but… Yeah.

I'm glad this episode changed things…. Track records matter, a lip synch matters…. I want them to show a slip causes the competition.

I still don't feel like anyone here is as strong as Sasha Colby, Nymphia, Saphira, Anetra.

Amazing episode, so touching and fun!

Sam STOMPED on the rest for me, no one came close. Very deserving win!

I guess no one is gonna agree with me, but I was surprised with the Suzie praise the episode... I thought she would for sure at least be in the bottom 3 over Lexi. I guess it didn't matter cause no one went home and Jewels/Onya made sense, but yeah... I did not like Suzie's makeover at all. To be fair, this challenge is both great and really confusing, because there's so many elements to it that the judges can just pick and choose what they wanna be mad about based on who they like.

Jewels did do better in the lipsync, but Onya wasn't too far behind. Made sense to save both with the challenge, the parents being there, and Onya's track record.

suzie mom is just one of those people that don't understand why people need validation. Like I brought you here, don't hate you, and you aren't cracked out on meth like Lexi so what more do you want.

but clearly people do so you have to try

the moment i saw some got their mothers and others their fathers, i knew it was gonna be tougher for the dad girls... But I didn't expect them to be in the bottom like that

I bet it IS really difficult for someoe like Jewels to put her father (who's dad bod was showing even through that oversized jacket) in drag

At least Onya's makeup looked good, that was some crazy blending on Jewels' dad

it was clear this episode was designed so that nobody was going home. it didn't really matter if it was Onya or Sam or Suzie in the bottom, the overall message and theme of the episode was about love and validation for queer people, and the importance of having a family that supports you. it was very wholesome and heartwarming and Ru was moved and touched by all of the individual stories from the queens and their respective parents.

I agree that the judging was a little over the place, except for Sam who clearly deserved that win. for me it was like this:

WIN: Sam (Sam's mother having lowkey more charisma than her :jonny5:)

HIGH: Lexi (loved the outfits, loved the mugs and loved the complicity both had, idc about family resemblance at all)

SAFE: Jewels (the outfits were not good but it was fun nonetheless. Salchicha was giving everything on the runway and that should at least count for something)

B2: Onya and Suzie (Onya clearly had the worst outfits of the episode and Suzie's mother was sadly giving nothing and it was a really uncomfortable runway from both of them)

Lexi's mom was so visibly upset at the meth comment.

Spoiler

Also not her being visibly weirded out by Jewels' dad trying to grab her hand as she's trying to do a prayer LOL

I don't know how I would have responded as a parent, hearing my child say something like that... Upset it happened, upset they're sharing it, upset it bothers my child like that, and especially upset at myself for being the reason. That was tough but fair, knowing she was kicked out.

But if my son took my name to use it to put on some busted ductape hat, to then proceed to put me in said busted wigs on TV, only to then talk **** about me in the confessional... I would have cooked the little *****. My dad is a very toned down person too, so I really get where Suzie was coming from, but the fact that her mother put herself out there like that and she chose to speak of her like that in the confessional left such a weird taste in my mouth. Just inappropriate, but I understand it's the pressure cooker of it all. I honestly would have done the same had my dad been there since I'm very honest like that. I hope Suzie's mom didn't take it too badly. I thought their looks were very inspired too.

Idk this episode was a tough watch in some aspects. I can't imagine saying any of these things about my parents or to my parents on national television. I cried several times though, especially with Jewels and Onya. That was really precious. And I laughed a lot with Sam too.

Suzie needed the top 3 placement for the finale to even be the slightest bit of exciting. I also did think their outfits were very inspired

Anyway, had Jewels not destroyed that lip sync, she'd be home now.

Onya was a symone level lipsync with better stage presence

uhm...

Yeah, all it did was kinda prove that no matter who wins this season, she's gonna be on the lower tier of winners. And that's ok.

With $200k (+ challenge win money) and most of them barely got $100k after taxes.

I wasnt really gagged by the lipsync. With Lana being better than Sam last week, and Jewels doing a bit better this week, just eliminate the girl you want to eliminate and have her do a goodbye performance. IDK, if the queens equally flopped, treat them as equals :michael:

Onya is taking it, the other girls might as well mentally prepare.

This was a great episode. I went from laughing my ass off with Law Roach's thirst comments to almost crying when Onya talked about her dad in under a minute.

Sam really ate and obviously no one could go home

Jewels ATE Onya up. It wasn't even close. She slayed that lip sync. Also the lip syncs have been great this season. Yall are too focused on the stunts and acrobatics when the lip syncs have been matching well with the songs etc.

Lydia's eye contact with Ru.
Lexi Love + Alter Ego.
Jewels against Onya.

These are great lip syncs.

Also want to say these are some of the most likable queens to ever be on RuPaul and they also cut each other down but in a very human way.

It's been a fantastic season and I have to say I LOVED this episode. It made me cry. The family dynamics are so human and real. It was so lovely to watch.

I'm an OSH but she did really well this week, I was kinda impressed when she and her mother walked down the runway. But Lawn saying it was giving fashion show runway was too much like :rip:

Anyways I'm glad it was a double save because they really turned that lipsync but omg I can't believe Jewels had the audacity to go out there in that boring look like wtf she was thinking? If she was eliminated I wouldn't even be mad because it would've been deserved.

I'm assuming we will have a top 3 and I think it's clear Onya and Sam are already there, the other three will fight for the last spot and I think it might go to Lexy.

Nymphia would not have won a single thing this season

Nymphia's tie look from the ball devours and stomps all over every design we've seen this season, she would have definitely snatched a win for one of the three design challenges, if not more.

She won the personal story challenge and can dance, especially in a way that would bode well with interpretive dance. I can see her winning that CVNT Monologues with the right partner, just like Lexi.

Without Plane to sabotage her, she would easily be top 2 for the talent show, and seeing how she dusted Sapphira in the finale lipsync, I'm sure she could turn something out and potentially snatch a win there too.

This whole narrative that Nymphia is a weak winner is kinda yawn. She's a talented performer and one of the premiere fashion queens, probably the best seamstress of any regular season winner. She doesn't excel in comedy, but excels in many other areas, so it's fine.

She's far more polished than pretty much every girl this season.
