This will probably go down as one of the worst challenges in DR history like what was that :rip:

I got bored and zoned out during the challenge so can't even tell if Onya and Lexi deserved the win. Boring episode overall, happy we finally got rid of Lana though

I fell asleep when Sam and Lana were on the main stage - S17 in general is such a throwaway season :sabrina:

Not to be shady, but sometimes I wonder if Onya is really that different than for example, Suzie Tooth, when it comes to being a "real drag queen". Or Marsha Marsha Marsha… It looks like she just started drag 2-3 years ago, after a theater/music background, and her drag is not even well-developed yet. Isnt she one of those BFA girls (like americans call them)?

Then those girls just aren't as talented. The reason Ru and the judges originally fell for Onya was because of how she sold her runways. She understands oldschool, unspoken drag queues that those girls don't. It's knowing the category and fully becoming it, including the way you walk and present the look (Utica had trouble with this and it cost her the ball win). Polish can be upgraded very quickly, talent/charisma cannot be, you either have it or you don't.

Brooklyn had this power over Ru on S11, specifically during the makeover episode, Ru was entranced at how Brooklyn turned Plastique into her daughter and worked the runway, that episode likely earned Brooklyn her own franchise in Canada.

Such a nonsensical challenge. They gotta wrap this season up pronto, even the girls feel tired and over it.

Wait wtf how does Kori look exactly like Gaga there?

also- I have nothing to say about the episode. The mini and main challenges SHOULD both return. Now that future queens have seen them, they will know how to approach them next time, and they will be great challenges.

At first I was annoyed this replaced girl groups until I realized how tired overdone and bad girl group challenges can be lol. What will be new and different about a girl group challenge? "Here to snatch that crown and make these other girls frown! Fierce mama diva, you better believe ha!" *Death drop!*

Like…no thank you. If all the queens approached this as Lexi and Onya did, it would have been a good challenge.

This challenge was… meh. There hasn't been a great monologue challenge in drag race history and the last interpretive dance challenge I recall was season 8 and just like that one, this was a mess. I hope they don't bring this back.

I think Onya has this but I thought that about Sapphira last year and… well… She really seems to get the show and what the judges are looking for. I think she still needs some polish but that will come with time and being booked.

Susie was okay this time around. I'm really trying to figure out why we labeled her as a comedy queen though when she hasn't really been funny in most of the comedy challenges.

Lexi's performance was an improvement tonight. Her interpretive dance was ******* hilarious. It was nice to see her shine again. I still don't know that she's going to win like a lot of us first thought but I guess we shall see.

Sam still hasn't figured out how to do what Trinity learned in season 9 - she needed to embrace the stupid. Even when she is very funny it's still very calculated. I'm sure she'll get there though. I feel like there will be a lip sync showdown with the Tuck Dynasty at some point but who knows.

Jewels was alright. The dance was good and the monologue was meh. I feel like she does better with improv/on the fly comedy rather than memorized lines. I thought her runway was an ugly dress (even by 80's standards) but I'm not a judge.

It's been Lana's time to go. I like her but aside from mostly prewritten jokes in the roast, she hasn't really brought it this entire season (runways aside).

I'm ready for another season of drag race to air. This one feels like it's been dragging on and unless someone totally bombs the makeover challenge, we know who has the worst makeup skills of the bunch (sorry suzie).

I'm so sorry but Onya has been ruined for me by that elf Arietty. Every time I look at her I frown,  I think of bad breath it doesn't help the other queens confirmed she has an issue :(

Onya's drag is definitely busted. She needs to tighten it her aesthetic. However, If we're talking about sheer talent, she is one of the best across the entire franchise. She could compete in any season and be a powerhouse lbr. I don't get the comments about this season of girls being weak. I think it's the opposite. Their fashions are what really need work but they are actually a talented bunch especially when you take into consideration their age.

i think Onya is winning the season, hands down. nobody else is getting the feedback from the judges like she is.
