The way ya'll make up these blatantly weird as f*ck narratives in your heads.

I'm just trying to predict the winner here. Not rooting against her. If she ends up winning it would be deserved and I wouldn't be mad. I just would be surprised because her edit is so weird. Like, where's her backstory?

The loud ghetto role that is set up to win the challenge.. wins again? I'm so bored.

Suzie deserved the win, especially with that runway. Lana was easily safe/high, I don't understand why they completely not see it for her.

Don't know if people are gonna agree with me, but Lana was ROBBED this episode!

How in the world was she bottom2? I thought she'd be in the top with Onya and Sam :rip: Lydia/Jewels seemed like the obvious bottom for me...

That lipsync was sad tbh... Lydia had it until she whipped out those scissors.

Shame, I really liked her, but let's be real - her and Lana were always gonna be the next ones out, unless something super shocking happened.

Girl... So you're saying that if Lydia or Lexi were to play Onya's part they would've won?

They wouldn't even dare to claim that role for themselves for obvious reasons. Anyone with a tiny bit of talent would do well at just being loud and give crazy eyes. :rip: I see nothing funny in these stereotypes or every scene ending with drag queens beating each other.

But the thing is, it's not the role that makes a winner but how an actor chooses to portray it. Even if it wasn't Lydia or Lexi, I don't think Lana could've sold it the way Onya did because she just lacks the talent and knowledge to make that character pop.

Out of all acting challenges I feel like this had the potential to make every character a winning one. It all comes down to each queen's portrayal of them, and Onya clearly was way above everyone else. Kinda like Bob in her acting challenge during S8.

Suzie is so annoying to me, and no amount of people online talking about how she's show-stoppingly talented and original will trick me into liking her.

Hope Onya wins.

I love Lexi but if she doesn't smash the next episode , she should work on her self and come back in a couple of years for an All Stars

Sam is smart , funny , polished .... but TOO MUCH polished . Its like watching a robot

Yeah, Sam is boring unfortunately for her. Even her wins for me could've been given to Arrietty the first time and Onya the second time.

Her camera time is low too, I wonder if they plan on focusing hard in the next few episodes on her cause she feels like an afterthought.

Gosh my heart sank for Lydia, she was winning it until the dress flop. She's a much more interesting queen than Lana and had more to show. Bummer…

WIN: Onya

HIGH: Sam

SAFE: Lana and Suzie

LOW: Lydia

B2: Lexi and Jewels

The character wasn't even written too much like that, it was Onya's choices that shaped the character, and making those choices was what ultimately got her the win

People like you are so obsessed with branding everything black queens do as ghetto, you ignore good sense and logic. I bet you were one of the people in this thread two weeks ago complaining that Onya was just playing herself in the Snatch Gsme

Onya was easily the best this episode (the acting challenge) and if not for the stunning runway from Jewels, Lana would have been safe. Susie was good. Lexi struggled during the challenge but the end result justified her being safe. Lydia was easily the worst. Overall the judging this episode seemed fair.

People like me as in someone who says that a ghetto character is.. ghetto? Did you watch something else? These characters traditionally do well with the judges even if a queen doesn't put her own spin to it, which is what happened here.

And you can take that bet back, I guarantee you.

This is Onya's crown to lose at this point. She's a star. :clap3:

Lydia grew on me tremendously over the last few episodes. That lipsync was so painful. :gaycat7:

Arietty is basura.

I did not expect this season to be so chaotic but I'm here for all of it.

Except what happened in that untucked was just drag queens being drag queens :rip: Producers have a very specific vision when it comes to that word . We saw it with Lalari on AS8 too when she won the acting challenge if I'm not mistaken and was considered to be her greatest moment in the 2 seasons she was in. I'm simply acknowledging that fact and calling out the producers for their typecasting and shameless microaggressions

That tweet from Lydia saying "Stay tuned" has me worried they bring her back. She was great in the roast episode  but she needed to go. She can't act nor can she turn looks. She needs to bake for a lot more time before she can enter a drag competition (like almost every girl in this season).

Spoiler

If you want the T head over to the Spoiled Drag Race thread unless you want me to DM it to y'all lol @BTS

she made the scissors work ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Lydia's material was too thick but u either gotta think about that beforehand or don't flop in the challenge to land in the bottom

I remember Olivia Lux talked about making sure her looks for the runway were easy to remove in case she needed to lipsync especially any gowns

You should honestly be banned for this :michael:

Sam and Onya were neck and neck, it was Onya's comedic timing and nuances (nails tapping, facials, etc.) that got her the win. That's talent. It reminded me of Symone and her domination because she understands how to never miss a beat or leave a moment un-funny.

The fact you think Suzie was even in contention to win speaks to your lack of understanding, as if your ignorant comment didn't already show that. Suzie was lobbed funny bits (like the ASMR section) but wasn't able to add those small pieces that make for a win, like she did in RDR Live.

What made Onya's role "ghetto"? All of the duos physically and verbally fought and screamed, was it just cause Onya is black? Lana played a similar role too and was in the bottom. The casual racism is pretty disgusting tbh.

Lala was… ghetto? She was a funny security guard who played a completely different angle.

The way you're clearly using "ghetto" as a term for "Black tropes", while also showing the nuance and diversity a character can take with black tropes. Not to mention, they haven't always resulted in wins or success (see: Kandy in the Honey I Shrunk the Drag Queens, Vanjie in Snatch Game S11, Kori in design challenges, Monet as Martin Lawrence, Xunami as the Gold Tooth Fairy, Jewels in… this very same challenge you're b*tching about).

Get over yourself and take the L, you look like a loser.

This is probably how Elliott with 3 Ks defended themself when they called Symone ghetto

I still don't understand why they're so convinced Suzie is the frontrunner when Onya has been demolishing the competition since day 1. The fact Suzie flopped in Snatch Game AND in the Rusical should've been enough for them to understand she's no threat :rip:

Sad for Lydia, I think she's a great performer and she was winning until she got the scissors out.

Sam saying "Suzie Toot... and I thank you!" had me screaming. Never though Sam would grow so much on me. And Sam Smith is such a cutie I wish I could just snuggle them and keep them warm. That low voice tone is so... lemme stop before I say something I will regret

Don't spin this into sth it's not. Onya's gigantic nails, the hair, attitude etc all lent themselves to what is usually being portrayed on Drag Race (and pop culture in general) as ghetto. Nina Bonina has made similar remarks whenever there's a role like that so I might have been influenced by her. The fighting comment I made wasn't specific to Onya. It's just not sth that I laugh with.
