That was a super cute first episode - season is off to a good start  

 

Loved that camp little Squid Game intro! 

 

I think the results made sense, so I'm not mad, but I personally liked Lucky the most and would've put Joella in the bottom.

 

I'm liking the majority of the cast so far, but my absolute faves, at least after this episode, are: Lexi, Sam, Kori, Lucky, Lydia, Crystal, and Jewels.

The only ones I'm not vibing with are Joella and Hormona. Suzy and Acacia are ok. Onya is fine too, but at least I'm liking her personality a lot.

Except for the opening game it was boring episode. Joella katy kat talentless as his fave, expected. Other girls don't really giving anything, well Super Starr giving reductive Nina. I like Ms Sparkle a bit i guess

Jewels & Lucky were my Top 2, with Suzie 3rd. Lucky was definitely robbed of a Top 2 placement.

 

Poor Acacia. The girls just shouldn't bother singing emotional songs on DR, it never works out unless it is kinda gimmicky IE Monet going full on insane opera, or Sapphira doing opera with funny lyrics and stunts along with it.

I think y'all are overrating Lucky's talent show performance. IMHO, it doesn't require a ton of talent to lip sync and turn the knob on a bra. If she did more dancing, or had more clever lyrics or something, I could see a top 2 placement, but I think her being just safe was fair.

 

It was entertaining, yes, but I would not call it a strong display of talent.

I really wanted to give Katy the benefit of the doubt because she was kinda cute during the werkroom segment but omg she looked so fed up during the judging, she clearly didn't want to be there at all and all she did was make funny/weird faces and humourless laughs 

 

Anyways, cute premiere but I think I wish it was a split cast premiere because there were so many queens it was hard to keep up. Also, wtf was that Squid Game intro? A mess

I can't comment on what I think will happen since I already know because I am friends with someone on the cast AND someone on the crew but I can still give me opinions here

 

This was a solid season premiere. They should've opened with the entrance looks FIRST then did the Squid Games but it's whatever. Both were enjoyable.

 

I'm gonna say something controversial: I'm gonna need these queens to stop lipsyncing as a "talent". If they are lipsyncing, they gotta bring something more. I'm just over it.

 

With that said   Joella was bad. Not a real talent & lackluster lipsync. Should've been the bottom. Arietty was ok. I mean, it was correct but stuff like that needs to be elevated to be more exciting. Jewels was ok. Like Joella, not a real talent but at least not a lackluster lipsync. Lucky LMAOOOOOO I thought it was hilarious. I mean, the watch party ppl at the bar were just cracking up AND the pit crew guy really got into it. A+ (should've been Top 2). Acacia... ehh... it was a talent at least. Definitely NOT bottom worthy though. It wasn't super exciting but she played the guitar & wrote a clever song. Lydia  this was hard to watch. I kept waiting for  SOMETHING & was just such a let down. Susie... that was a talent (tap dancing) and the comedic timing was great. Top 2 should've been Susie & Lucky but I'm sure Queens were shady which also explains Acacia in last.

 

Not gonna lie, I'm very excited for next week because Sam, Kori & Onya are looking like TV gold. Ru had her crazy laugh on when Onya had her runway. Kori is showing that's she is a true Plain Jane daughter. Sam is a mini-Trinity with some of those confessionals. Part 2 better live up to the hype with these queens.

I'm not seeing what everyone's seeing in Suzie, her talent was meh and her lip-sync was boring af. also her mug is horrible, giving Elliott with 2 Ts at times.

 

the talent show in general was a snoozefest. Joella and Arietty were awful. Lydia was bad too even if she tried something different. and Acacia really had the nerve to sing bluegrass huh. Lucky and Jewels were good.

 

might have to drop this season if the girls next week don't deliver because the cast feels very weak from the get-go. Onya was so fun though, she ate this episode up even when her fashion sense is questionable.

Lucky's number was messy and didn't display any talent whatsoever. A reductive repeat of PJ's from last year which was already a watered-down version of Jimbo's shtick. Food jokes and liquidy substances squirting out of boobs? Really? Is the bar that low?

 

Not that I was gagged by anyone but Suzie did showcase talent and is highkey the cutest boy to ever walk in the werkroom so I'm not mad.
