Kandy sticking to her guns about not giving up her role isn’t necessarily bad (even tho she did get THE role she wanted yet AGAIN last week) 

 

but her reaction to Alexis crying was a bit mean spirited….like Alexis already let you have the role you wanted, so just let her cry a bit from the frustration of the situation   Kandy is SO insufferable.

Kandy is... fine. She's not the season saving presence some of y'all claim, but she's far from the horror that the rest of you think she is. She aight.

I haven’t watched the preview yet but Kandy and Alexis are both fairly insufferable at times.

 

The difference is that Alexis has been robbed in the past while Kandy has been payola’d about 10x as much as most queens in multiple seasons now, and has yet to show much for it. It just makes her more annoying. 

I love a girl who causes drama (Jasmine, Luxx, Mistress, etc) but Kandy is kind of just that and only that. Doesn’t serve looks, isn’t particularly exceptional at performing, not really funny, not charismatic on the show (love her off the show tho), just generally serving early to mid-out level talent. But the show wants us to believe Kandy is a fierce competitor and yet she’s struggling to stand out in this season which is probably the weakest competition we’ve ever seen, ironically the same case as S13

I do think there’s a place for a discussion on why so many Black gays (particularly celebrity ones) seem to always have white partners - especially when they make being Black a core part of their branding or personality. 
 

At the same time, I personally stopped caring who other people date/prefer/entertain years ago. I haven’t met a single person who only dates white guys that I’d actually consider myself compatible with.

That is exactly it. I can put up with a lot from the queens and try to give them them the benefit of the doubt because production can edit them however they want. Like the obvious face crack moment they were trying to get from Alexis last week.

I could put up with Kandy’s antics much easier if she was able to deliver in any category. Unfortunately she does not excel at anything.

Yeah I always view reality tv characters in terms of who can do the most with the least amount of screen time. Kandy has some good moments, but we have to put up with a lot to get there

All of this. Her win last week was payola’d so hard. She was decent with the choreo but the face was a mess and she had to be auto tuned (the only one who got that treatment) and the judges saying/singing the words were dubbed in to cover up some of the horrible singing. It wasn’t fair.

Kahanna is a mess but I’m still team her over heidi.  The passive aggressiveness and entitlement is too much with Heidi recently, sadly.  Kahanna is just living her over sensitive truth.

… wtf. Isn’t she on the RuPaul’s Drag Race Live show in Las Vegas? Maybe her contract didn’t get renewed or something.

Seems like it. Sucks. She’s a gorgeous girl but it truly seems like she didn’t even try to prepare for anything but the runways and design challenges. I know that they don’t have a huge amount of time to prepare for all stars but some sort of a crash course or trying out a few new acts would have truly benefited her. 
 

As much **** as I may talk about some of the queens, there’s a difference between criticism and sending hate. We’ve seen queens (especially POC queens) get a disproportionate amount of death threats and racist messages from the “fandom”. Stating your opinion is one thing.

 

I’m sure she’s ignored the cardinal rule of fame: don’t read the comments. She’s made it way further this time around than she did last time and she’s definitely an actual contender for the fame games. The only other queens that I can see potentially being on her level would be Jessica or Alexis (assuming they don’t make it to the finale). I’m assuming Jimbo is making it based on track record. kahanna should be proud of what she has done this season.

We really need All Stars to be every other year.

 

They don't even have to stop the amount of Drag Race seasons total.  Make a full Rudemptions season to alternate with All Stars.  Make it a completely different format, different goals, get the queens that were first, second, and third out like Jaymes and Kahanna and give them a place to shine outside of an AS environment where they won't succeed.

I have little sympathy for Kahanna. She clearly thought her runway package would carry her through and didn't bother to study and improve her improv and comedy skills. How many times does it need to be reiterated that comedy is a MAJOR part of being successful on this show? Prepare properly or don't bother showing up.

this. make a theme all star like comedy edition, fashion edition etc.

 

so much to play with now with the amount of queen they have.
