The first two episodes weren't as entertaining as I thought they would be, but I can tell this will be a solid AS season at least. If I had a saying though I would've switched the programming so they would've done 1 episode for each bracket, that way the viewer wouldn't have to wait weeks to see queens from different brackets and the competition would move at the same pace (instead of restarting after 3 episodes). Additionally I would've made it so that the MVQ points gifting was anonymous to add some drama to the decision process.

 

A metal song for the first episode was the worst f*cking choice possible, Aja only shined because... Well, she's Aja, and Irene did fine I guess. Only Aja could've made a lip sync to that atrocious song work, that's how you know that's mother (if anyone even had doubts to begin with).

 

The acting/improv challenge in E2 on the other hand... A collapse. Hands down one of the best in that category, I was legit gagged by how good everyone was and especially Irene and Bosco. Bosco's runway and lip sync ate severely, a true episode sweep if I've ever seen one.

 

Too bad for the rest, I don't see anyone else catching up to them. The bar is way too high I fear.

The flop queens are happy to be here cause they get 3 episodes worth of screen time and don't have to prepare huge packages. The true all stars would shine in any format. But the queens like Deja kind of miss out on a few more weeks of screen time that they'd normally get as decent all-around queens.

When I see queens like Deja being cast on a regular season, I can only imagine how the casting process goes. I don't see Deja as having much star quality, to be honest, so it's hard to see her exceeding a lot in anything. Imagine someone seeing your audition tape and thinking: alright, she's very middle of the road, can be eliminated 4th or whatever, let's cast her.

 

 I'm not dragging her, she seems to be a sweetheart, but she is casted as a filler queen overall, imo.

Just the first week. Will only be one episode per week now. They've been doing a double premiere every all stars since season 6 when it shifted to Paramount streaming.
