Love Resident Evil. The original 2005 version of RE4 is the best, I had another play through of it recently and it never gets tired. I loved Village & Biohazard, but something about those earlier games was so much more exciting to me. I did really love RE: Revelations 1 & 2 though, they felt like good classic Resi games.

Anything in particular you prefer about the 2005 version of RE4? I personally love both the original and the remake, but I gotta say I miss the raunchy jokes and overall tone present in the 2005 version!

Haven't gotten to Revelations yet, but now I'll be looking forward to them!

Oh definitely the tone. For me, the original just feels tighter overall too, with more chance for real scares. Something about the remake lacked any real scares for me. A lot of that is down to the polished look, but the less linear structure of the remake made it less scary for me overall too.

Still, I did love the remake and the slightly different take on RE4, but for me it was very much a case of "if it's not broke, don't fix it". Plus, the original save method of only being able to save at a typewriter, is much more true to how a survival horror game should be played.

Period! However, I think RE4R does let you have that "only save at typewriters" experience on the highest difficulty setting though? I'm not sure.

Also, what I really miss from the original game is the muddy color palette, which is strange cause I usually hate those in games, but it really worked well for RE4!

Yeah I think you're right, it did! I might give it another play through on the higher difficulty - it is the time of year for it I suppose!

I'm currently replaying BOTW for the second time. It's such a massive game, I'm already exhausted 5 hours in. I don't know I garnered the mental strength to beat it the first time :deadbanana4:

I have been playing darkest dungeon 2 for the switch for weeks and months now, so good. When Dragon age the veilgaurd comes out, i will be in that world for the foreseeable future.

Been playing Hades and love it!

I just finished Wukong. For as simple as it appears, the joy was in the nuances. It took me 160 hours to beat, because I'm just a casual gamer and it was difficult. It was fun!

Currently playing and streaming the story for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. Ape Vegeta beat me up, 🤕.

As for online games, I play Overwatch.

Forgive Me Father is pretty great. I love that you can play an old school shooter as a woman.

I beat WitchSpring R already nnn; it was so much fun that I could hardly put it down! I loved a lot of the mechanics (I kept farming for magic-up ingredients and had ∼2800 magic by the end :skull:) and I loved all of the characters, even if the story was a little half-baked. The pets were so cool, especially this little hunty

I also started and beat Europa today. It was very pretty, but not quite as fluid-feeling as I was hoping. Might go back and try to find all the emeralds :chick1:

I'm tempted to get Europa, what did you play it on?

I seen some issues with it running on Switch, but I don't think enough to bother me.

I played it on Steam Deck and it played just fine. Not sure about Switch though :doc:

I've beaten a few games so far this month! first was Mega Man and then a few days later Mega Man 2 from the Legacy Collection on Switch. I enjoyed them way more than I thought I would have, tho I do admit I was watching videos of people playing the levels before I attempted them :rip: that coupled with the save state and rewind features in the collection made them enjoyable, I honestly might not play these games without them

Then I finished Firewatch. I played it all in one sitting and overall was a good experience. I was SO engrossed for the first 2-3 hours and then during the last hour my high opinion soured a bit, but it was a cool game. I wasn't at all expecting how creepy or unsettling the game would get so that was a great surprise, but then the story didn't quite have the payoff I was hoping for.

Just today I finished a game on Vita called Patchwork Heroes (developed by Aquire in 2010 who recently worked on games like Octopath and Mario & Luigi: Brothership). Another super cool title for PSP, I had never heard of it until I was checking out threads on a gaming forum about Vita games to pick up before its shop closes. Each stage of the game is a flying ship that you have to chop pieces off of until it's gone and you've won. Everytime I lost a level I was instantly hitting the replay button, the gameplay is kind of addictive but can also get a little frustrating.

Next I'm hoping to get some spooky games in before the end of the month! I've been playing thru Bioshock (for like the 5th time, a LEGENDARY game) and I've got Little Nightmares, Luigi's Mansion, and Night in the Woods on my docket to start

I neeeeed to finally sit and play Firewatch - I've had it installed for so long but never got round to playing it. I think I'll put that on the list for the weekend.

Played the demo and It feels like a persona re-skin or do they ever add different mechanics?

Secret Agent Clank (PS5).

Still so unbelievably fresh, put HD visuals on it and I'd believe you if you told me it came out today.
