May / June seems like it's stacked with comebacks.

Zico is also getting discharged in one week, and people are saying he’s going to make a cb soon too

Yikes.

:cm:

This is so disappointing, they were really charismatic and talented, Gratata was such a bop

I wonder what happened, the company didn’t give a reason. I know their sales were abysmal but I hope they didn’t give up on them just for that, they didn’t even lasted a year! :cries:

Like BLACKPINK are almost a direct copy of 2NE1. :skull: YG is really something else wow :dies:

Was there ever a better elevator pitch in the history of kpop than "A pretty 2NE1"?

Well we've already got the next gen equivalent of this, with the "10 Jennies" description for BP's successor. YG will never change. :toofunny3:

And Army's still have the audacity to claim that BTS paved the way for BP, when it's all on paper that it was BP's own YG label mates who did that for them (2NE1 and PSY):michael:

Well BTS did pave the way for the exploding popularity of Kpop on a global scale, and that includes BP and several other groups (like Stray Kids who just scored a #1 BB200)

BP's concept was modelled after 2NE1

Those are 2 different things

PSY sweetie....

Genuine question: do you think Psy would sell millions of albums if he had the USA as his target  and sell out stadiums worldwide if he embarked on a world tour?

I agree with this statement, however my main issue with ARMYs is that they like to belittle the accomplishments of past groups that led kpop to a place where BTS could achieve that global popularity.

Anyways BP blew up from debut way in 2016. Boombayah was bigger than anything BTS had released up to that point, since they used to be a nugu group from 2013-2015. BTS started to get really popular and became the top group around 2017 while BP already exploded in 2016. Back then before I became a kpop fan, I had heard a lot more about BP in the media etc. than BTS. :michael:

Maybe argue on fact rather than your personal opinion :rip:

BP had their first single and album charted on Billboard in 2018, one year after BTS became the first kpop group to chart on Billboard Hot 100 (if we don't count Wonder Girls' fraudulent sales), and the very same year that BTS had their first #1 Billboard with Love Yourself: Tear and exploded in popularity in the West with Fake Love + Boy With Luv

Lol. BTS first charted on Bubbling Under in March 2017, Blackpink in July 2017. Both groups charted on Hot 100 with their next single. The only difference is that BTS released 3 singles before Ddu-Ddu Ddu-Du. They didn't pave any way for Blackpink :rip:

BTS has been trying to get rid of the "kpop label" for years now and have tried everything including releasing radio friendly english music, which they hate themselves :skull:

PSY got rid of the kpop label without even trying and sticking to his roots :michael:

Why is “getting rid of the kpop label” a win for you? :rip:

Indeed. It's also not something that actually happened. Psy was only ever a novelty act who burnt out internationally after a few singles.

Both artists are NOT trying to get rid of the kpop label :rip:only a few delusional armys think that BTS are not kpop

You was the the one who quoted that part first though? I was just pointing out that people who didn't know of kpop knew about PSY.

And when did I say BTS got rid of the kpop label? No matter how many horrible English singles they put out they’ll always have the essence of a K-pop group and they’ll always be associated to Korean pop. Nothing wrong with that.
