Newjennies :jonny5:

Curious which luxury brands will snatch Haerin minji and Danielle :gaycat5:

based on their fashion choices I think they are pushing Haerin for Dior, Minji for Chanel and Danielle for Burberry - Hanni and Hyein’s outfits alligned with the deals they got later on :flower:

NewJennies do indeed have so much western appeal despite still being very much K-Pop, so these deals make sense. I hope they keep promoting and building a very strong base in Asia before they get shipped to the US though. Look at how that backfired for SM.

LSRFM also have that appeal.

She was meant to be. But of course there's a huge glow up now compared to before and in the future it will be even more

This. I truly NEVER understood it. It feels like every GG has multiple ambassadors for the same brands. At this point it feels so irrelevant :toofunny3:

It’s the same as fashion show/fashion week appearances.

it was such a big deal in 2nd Gen because only top idols/actors/actresses got invited (SNSD, 2NE1, BigBang, etc.) but now even rookie groups are going to PFW :rip:

At least Hyewon doing the choreo correctly, and rarely forgot the choreo, underdance, yes, but not at his level :deadbanana2:

if those are numbers based on yearly chart then why are you inserting information about the comebacks, to give more perspective or what? it’s obvious older groups are benefiting from the catalog streams too - aespa for example from NL and DCT, which aren’t really from „1 comeback”, same for IVE that had 3 high charting songs, from 3 comebacks, not 2 like you mentioned. now write down those comebacks you were thinking of and how much points groups gained for them - also, you should also consider the time each group had to amass those points, then the results will be even more ridiculous. it’s crazy how this thread is doing mental gymnastics to prove that aespa is bigger than they really are - amazing sales, yes, they did have those! but to say they had amazing digital success and suggest it’s based on 1 comeback is just a lie

…That’s the number of comebacks/debuts they’ve had in that calendar year. IVE had two comebacks this year (ELEVEN was their debut in 2021). Please note, I also didn’t include “Ditto” from NewJeans’s first comeback since their comeback occurs in January 2023 though “Ditto” is charting in 2022. It’s literally an objective list of the Circle digital points every girl group has amassed this year and how many comebacks they’ve had. Please also note that you tried to claim “catalog points” - this is not just a list of fourth Gen groups. Catalog points were counted for all artists and this is still what came out.

What’s really weird is your inferiority complex here. Someone mentioned that SM/Aespa were flopping so an objective list was posted with the number of comebacks this year. Do you really hate Aespa so much or want to hype NewJeans so hard that you’re going to argue that the digital charts are wrong?

isn't it a bit too early for this? the same happened with aespa. they need to atleast let the girls find their own style before signing ambassadorship deals?

but whatever, they truly are the newjennies, newjisoos, newrosés & newlisas :jonnycat:

inb4 baemon has global ambassadorship deals the day they debuts :rip:

Only 3 Koreans but they got SEA and Japan covered. The SEA members probably speak English.

I think they'll be pretty global

SevenJennies could be to the global music scene what NewJennies is to the Korean market

No Jinni or Garam :chick3:

I'm sure YG have lots of vault tracks that may going back to late 90s-early 2000s with all their veteran artists like Jinusean, 1YTM, SWI.T and Se7en. Imagine if YG serve their Y2K hip-hop (or even blend of R&B) concepts like these:

Urrg Teddy was so hot!
YGE was really shameless, he totally plagiarized TLC

poor Minji, good luck with Chanel bc they’re not going to acknowledge her. But she might have a chance for Chanel beauty Korea.

It’s a little bit ridiculous to engage a teenager as a BA but whatever…

I don’t have any issues with my faves flopping/doing worse than before, BP did worse than IVE and NJ this year (in Korea) and I won’t make some delusional excuses or alter the numbers to suit my narrative  :rip: Eleven was released in December so majority of its points are counted in 2022, same for aespa’s DCT - to allude that aespa did better this year than NJ or even BP is delusional, that’s it - if you divide the points by era you will get clear results, aespa underperformed this year, both in Korea and ww - the only thing they have over NJ are sales, which is amazing and impressive too!  :cm:  IVE managed to catch up with AL and BP is out of the talk too in that department

it doesn’t mean they cannot bounce back next year and I will happily admit it if it happens!

It’s funny how the same people who complain that Aespa fans “try and make people think they’re bigger than they are” are the same ones who constantly try and force the narrative that 2022 was a flop for them despite a mild hit for their (1) comeback that wasn’t even the title track and didn’t get a MV, inclusion in a successful project unit, and great catalog streams from their 2021 music (showing people were still listening to them in 2022 even if their one comeback didn’t do as well digitally as expected).

No irrelevant act is charting on Gallup, getting 1.5B digital index on Gaon, and having an album sell like 1.9M. Give up the flop and massive underperformance arguments already.

Did they just recycle their Step Back outfits for this new track or did they perform Step Back before this and not bother to change? So far it's the same concept with the same looks. It's boring. :cm:

They performed both songs with the same outfit. I guess they are saving the concept and style for the mv that was already filmed

Apparently the Baby Monster concept are dual concepts with Baby which is similar to finkl/babyvox and Monster is similar to TLC, it's why YG said before that the new girl group will have rnb music and that they are like BigMama as they are trained is soul singing , we will see if they stick to that or not soon

No :deadbanana2::deadbanana2: Baby Monster is just another name for Blackpink before the girls rejected it because it was corny like along with Magnum. It's basically just the duality concept but switched Baby Monster instead of Black Pink, sweet/cool. I do believe they will do rnb since watered down y2k is the vibe now, thank you NewJennies.

Check the nameplate.

I'm excited to see the old eldritch villain (YHS) struggle against the new sus machiavellian mastermind (MHJ) in January. Let's see if the old bog beast still has it in him, for girl groups at least, we saw the ordeal with Treasure already......  :gaycat4:

Also Lisa is apparently close with and mentoring the thai trainee, so we are excited for mother Lalisa's progeny.

:santa:

Yeah I don’t understand the Aespa is a flop narrative.
