I don’t understand why Kpop companies don’t take in people from the Philippines as trainees, when every person from that country can literally sing and belt like crazy. Kpop in general is lacking power vocals especially in 4th gen according to people, so why not scout people from the country with the best singers in the world? (I know that it’s just a stereotype but still)

I have also noticed that Japanese idols in Kpop always tend to be the best dancers in the industry. However they also tend to be the worst singers :dies: (I recently learned that there’s also a stereotype about Japanese people being horrible singers)

Because they all sound the same and they always tried to copy Mariah or Whitney?

the way people are easily impressed by them screaming is the same way 4th gen fans with idols singing live.

the way the vibe completely changes when working with Irene :ahh:

they fear her

I think the vibe changes because it's obvious she hates the song.

The way she kept laughing at it, was sending me :skull:

Jennie at the Jacquemus show 2 hours before her sold out World Tour

Sold out world tour soundcheck and concert itself

back to Jacquemus after party getting wasted after the concert

I want her life :deadbanana:

The pinks (especially Rose and Jennie) really come alive when they're in Paris, New York and LA :deadbanana2: I just know both of them are moving to one of these cities soon

The streaming farms aren’t gonna save them if they don’t release next year. The way Nayeon literally became the biggest third Gen idol is such a surprise, but I can’t say that it isn’t deserved.

Boys Planet 99 has changed their concepts:

48 K Boys (Korean)

48 G Boys (Global Boys)

There are boys from Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and China. And the casting also was extended to America, Europe & The Middle East.

Lee JungMin is rumored to be the judge.

Choi Youngjun and Baek Guyoung are allegedly the dance teacher.

SNSD Taeyeon has allegedly been approched to be part of the show.

Large agencies from the TOP10 biggest agencies in Korea are participating, SM, JYP, YG & cube sent trainees. The contract this year is a formal contract, non-fixed term contract (in other words it's a temporary group).

Now from the trainees rumored several of them are already known, from LOUD, Youth With You, Produce series (Korea, Japan & china).

I may just tune in now that I know YG sent trainees

blackpink's streams, sales, acclaim and tour gross all matches

the people streaming their music attends their world tour and buys their albums unlike 99.9% of kpop groups including your faves

worry about red velvet's fraudulent sales (with 15 versions) and streams (from ads) while flopping harder than twice has ever flopped before

They do, but I agree it should be more common. Charice/Jake Zyrus got offered a contract by SM, but he turned it down.

And since you mentioned Luna before, you reminded me of this clip of her getting embarrassed and crying from getting beaten in a vocal battle with Charice...Charice showed her no mercy:rip:

Not her crying lmaoooo

I mean, that's what she gets for thinking she was that girl

she got humbled that day.

I mean monthly listeners aren’t a fair comparison as they go up and down based on the month. Idle and lessakurafim put out music this month so they’re gonna be higher.

the real flop is Itchy since they put out Cheshire. I do think itchys previous popularity with int fans is an indicator of where the two bully scandal groups could go tho. I think LSFM especially could be big with int fans. Ive is still doing the best though.

honestly, all 4th gen It gg are marketable to the west. Very different from when I got into K-pop and the cute stuff was jarring asf lol I only liked BP, rv perfect velvet and some idle songs. How I stayed is beyond me.

Itzy stans bragging about their spotify streams dragging aespa numbers but Girls & Illusion have better streams than Sneakers which was a "hit" :spin:

TWICE are at 12,849,910 physicals and Nayeon is at 541,391 physicals. Who is keeping up with Nayeon’s overall career?

BlackPink have sold 5,718,155 physicals and their top soloist, Lisa, has sold 810,900. Not even another Born Pink would be enough for BP to catch up to where TWICE is, and TWICE are actually still releasing.

Babe, you realize I bought all 20+ versions of Born Pink despite the album being one of the worst of the year, right? :skull: I actually have everything BlackPink have ever released on physical, including every version.

And weren’t BP the first to release Digipaks to inflate their album sales, resulting in The Album crossing 1M? That’s literally your fave’s legacy you’re dragging RV for. :skull: And it’s not like RV are selling $3.99 digitally signed copies.

Monthly listeners are just a measure of how many playlists you’re on. They’re not a metric anyone should brag about - they just show how much your fave’s label has paid to get their music out there.
