Urgh bc of the WC and his song playing when SK won, Jungkook awful song is top 5 on melon ! I mean no one can have a bigger promo than this one. Glad that the most talented of the group is winning but the song is so bad I can’t

The girls don’t have western personalities lol. The closet we have it’s Jennie with her partying and dating I guess.  But otherwise they’re still very restricted like every Koreans celebs. 

 

And western labels are not going to give them the budget that they used to have in YGE. More musics yes, maybe. But then what, no more fancams, no more dance practices, no more performances videos, are they going to do promo in SK?  Do you think a western label is going to organize fansigns  (which are the reason why Kpop albums sell a lot)?, drop multiples versions?

G idle will be the new mamamoo (without the vocals ofc). The gp will be tired at one point. Look at how Nxde was frontloaded

I mean gridle debuted in 2018, and LSF in 2022. It's logical the later gonna sell more in albums. What other GGs have exploded in sales despite debut before 2020? The only ones I can think of are RV but they've always had issues with ShyteM not meeting the demand for their albums (as far as I heard from reveluvs)

The problem is that unlike RV, Aespa is the best-selling gg among their peers, so not comparable.

IVE is comparable to Twice bc of their sales, their success in Japan and their back to back hits, but they’re also comparable to BP bc they peaked the highest on the global streaming platforms.

NJ is like BP bc their debut reached #1 just like Whistle.

 

NMIXX they can’t be compared to Mamamoo bc even Mamamoo was getting hits unlike them. 
 

LSRFM they are like RV bc they have good bsides

BP had always had huge sales and was bound to "explode" bcs they hadn't released anything in a while and Twix had always had good album sales.

Funny how ITCHY actually served a similar growth like RV, but they did so while flopping internationally with Sneakers, Boys like you and Cheshyte.

Idk why I thought RV had this incredible growth but they went from 200k 1st week in 2021 to 450k in 2022 (which is still great, but it's in similar vein to Itzy). They growth was much more impressive as a group from 2019 to the 2021 comebacks

Ive and NJ have basically the same trajectory than twice and BP. 

 

IVE : debut is a sleeper hit, 1st cb SOTY and national hit 2nd cb explosive numbers+ popularity in japan they solidified their top group statue in a year. 
 

NJ : explosive debut, multiply top 10. 
 

 

pop did great in Korea, Japan and internationally it will song of the month let it go even if it doesn’t have the best longevity it did its thing, illusion is basically a title track it got more promotion than girls.
