So was Big Bang and they literally had a 7 year break between albums while the guys all got solos they got to co-write/coproduce which BLACKPINK aren't going to be doing since they have 3/4 solos released and like 2/3 solo songs each compared to whole albums :rip:

BLACKPINK's residual income will be keeping YG afloat just like BB did for YG until BP got big

BAEMON is going to have 9 members potentially which just means more CFs and cash for YG in the long run vs. 4 girls. YG operates best on modeling/acting not music

Baemon having 9 members doesn’t mean a thing :rip: Treasure had more and yet they are flopping compared to 4th gen bg, not to mention IKON and WINNER huge underperformances

YG don’t have other acts they can rely on other than BP

they need to release an album once in a while, even as a cash grab or to get new material to send them on tour, just like they did it with Born Pink

and BP is known on global level, they are the biggest girl group in the world and each member has big celebrity status, it’s not like the fans and industry will forget about them :rip: I won’t believe the girls themselves are not aware of both their solo and group power

My predictions is

Blackpink gonna sue YG, YGE scandals don't cease, BP gonna permanently suspend their contracts and Lisa and Rose change their stage names

what stage names? those are literally their names, it’s not some Winter, Karina, Giselle s**t :rip: Lisa’s name being copyrighted by YG is a huge issue for her, I bet it is!

The fact that the HITZYs always used "international queens" as an excuse to defend ITZY's previous flops :skull:

Birthday's choreo actually looks great on stage :jonny: And the song is growing on me too :jonny:

KARA queens also look so good

I like Birthday’s choreo more than Itzy’s one :rip: truly their downfall

Birthday is not that bad, I kinda like it, I’m just conflicted about the chorus but it’s growing on me

Sneakers was the thing they could’ve been happening in Itzy’s career. A quick top 5 for what ! now they’re out of melon and can’t even chart on Spotify anymore. :hoetenks:

It was a set up since day one.

it’s just too funny :lmao:and when blinks bring the receipts we are the “hateful” and “obsessed” ones

also if they are indeed bigger than blackpink then i’m expecting their next comebacks to debut with more streams than PV or SD and a top 25 debut on hot 100 AT LEAST :heart2:

Well Lisa for sure isn't her real name and I was referring to the copyright itself

Sneakers really did damage to them

ironic since it was a cute hit in Korea

shows the difference between Koreans and international fans

JYP clearly doesn’t know what to do with itzy and it’s actually sad to see

hoping the girls start to do some solo activities at least

Hype Boy outlasted Nxde.

At this rate, I'm pretty sure Tomboy will outchart Nxde in some weeks.

Erm are we going to pretend that at one point BB wasn't the biggest Korean BG internationally as well prior to BTS?

https://www.investing.com/equities/yg-entertainment-inc-balance-sheet

I'd recommend you just check out the quick breakdown and correlation - BP's gains from investing is almost always exclusively used for short term investments and cash, rather than long term investing

Compare that to the reports when BB was the big money maker and their residuals were used for longer-term investments until one of their other groups made it big. It's no secret that this is literally how investing works :rip: BP is being used as a short-term investment and paying off liabilities currently until they leave and then their streams/albums which will be residuals will be used for longer-term investment. Whenever their debts get too high, they have a BP cb. It's not rocket science that they squeeze BLINKs for cash flow.

BP didn't need a full album to tour, they could have honestly had a 4 song mini and their fans would have still bought it and went on to buy tickets.

Unironically if you look at all the historical data you could have predicted the BP comebacks because you'll see YG taking on more debt/loans the quarter before and then announce the CB to recoup losses quickly. This is going to be the same strategy for BAEMON and I doubt they'll flop because GGs are way more lucrative CF-wise than men now

After Like too, Hype Boy is serving Love Dive trajectory

and NewJeans surpassed 1B Circle points with their debut in 4 months, which is kinda crazy!

Yes

If she uses Lisa as her stage name YG gets residuals. Lalisa is still viable but she can't name her debut as such due to the YG mini

it’s really hard to compare BB and BP, BB is bigger in Korea, but BTS and BP ww hold is bigger than kpop - they are not „the biggest kpop group” but the biggest bg and gg respectively - it won’t be that easy to replace them or put them in the basement, because their level of fame reach those of the biggest bgs and ggs in history

yes, it’s obvious that YG is using BP as cash cow, but I don’t see them going on long term hiatus just now, they will keep releasing solo stuff in 2023 and we will get another „full” album in 2024 (if they renew), same as with The Album and Rose and Lisa debuts in 2021

and Baemon being successful still won’t mean replacing BP in any way, since as I’ve said, BP reached fame status that’s above kpop and we will see more of that since Rosé is building connections, Jennie is doing moves in the movie industry, bunch of artists expresed their willigness to work with Lisa and Jisoo turns out to be the most profitable, her solo is still ahead and looking at her performance on tour she’s more than ready to rock the stage on her own

you really believe that some newcomers will replace for established, high profile celebrities right out of the gate and Blink will allow that and fully turn to support Baemon? :rip: it’s not RV and aespa situation, all BP girls built their brand and they won’t disappear from the world’s surface because random Baemon girlies will debut

also, YG made a big mistake waiting so long with their new gg, their didn’t took Hybe into consideration and both Le Sserafim and NJ stole their gg concept to some extent, why debut „9 Jennies” when Hybe did it first with NJ, they are already generally loved, all pretty, redefined what’s trendy and have natural groove and Le sserafim have that crush, independent woman and fashion concept - the competition is strong this time around with various ggs and it won’t be that easy for Baemon to sweep, especially with BP still sitting on top

Lalisa might be problematic too, but it’s still stupid to assume both Lisa and Rosè would change their „stage” name :deadbanana4: they would need to resolve it like GOT7 did
