CSR is a candidate for #1 on MuBank today. :toofunny2:  At this point, the Seoul police department should just open a station in the KBS lobby.

Speaking of CSR, found this fancam the earlier today from what appears to be a member of the A/V brigade.

Now, please remember, most of the guys in the audience were like 6 years old when this song came out.

So it's fine.

What are some of your spicy Kpop predictions for 2023?
Who will be on top and sweep? Who will flop? Who will debut? Which group will disband? Which member will have a solo debut? Which member will leave? Etc.

Come with your predictions and let’s see how badly they age

1.thumb.gif.1b1a23c245da6e5a9e3478bb53eb

- STAYC losing a member

- aespa repeaking

- Kwangya webtoon / videogame / full-scale series or movie

- Jennie solo

- Blackpink Coachella

- Baby monsters underwhelming debut success but they will be gradually growing with each comeback like G-IDLE

- IVE stagnating but still having great streams and sales

- Stray Kids Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100

- one of the underrated groups (Billlie, Purple Kiss, Lightsum) suddenly getting a cute hit

- Le Sserafim members share more details about their relationship with Garam and thoughts on her

- ITZY completely ditching Korea for international stans

- NMIXX first win

- Boys Planet group being million times more profitable than Kep1er

Birthday has already done 452,424 on Hanteo. SM is going to be the first company to have 2 girl groups do 2M+ album sales in a year :jonny5:

JYP will have that feat this year too

+NMIXX selling 1m

All I want is LE SSERAFIM World Tour & IU's comeback :coffee2:

End of Nov / Beginning of Dec is truly the worst time to have a comeback. It just got overshadowed by Christmas music and all the year-end music shows. Birthday would do so much better if it's released in the summer

I wonder if the SMTM song are going to kick out everyone just like they did last year. I think Lee youngji have huge chance to snatch a #1

The scamming has gone too far that after the ready to tank situation and Born Pink era overall. I fully believe Jennie's comeback will just be the official release of Me and You even tho it would be out for a long time by then (like RFL).

Shut Down MV was absolutely a last minute tax write off (that the girls were forced to film 4 days without sleeping since they had other work, no wonder Lisa was off for me for the first time in her solo MV scenes , ever. ) They shamelessly said it was never before done and revolutionary- ended up being recycled sets they hoped would smear the rushed blandness with nostalgia. The way they sold the album and era vs how it turned out to me was the last straw of that labels snake oil salesman audacity. No amount of love for the girls was enough to brainwash me to eat YGs mess up lol Blackpink are in a dead-end label when it comes to female idols esp creatives. The girls are VERY lucky they managed to build such a powerful social media and influencer portfolio to keep them relevant aside from their fanbase that continues to exist despite YGs best effort to just snatch every coin out of us without re-nourishing the fandom with content and excitement. But if YG fits in with their desired lifestyle as a celebrity and idol, then even better for them. But the fandom knows they're not happy with their music strategy lol

It's like YG signs female artists only because everyone else is doing it, and not because they have an interest in actually developing any female talent and see value in female creativity.

I don’t think Jennifer would let have You and me for her TT comeback :biblio:. Maybe a b side at best!

And yeah this era felt so rushed, THE ALBUM era was so much more enjoyable with contents, the Netflix docu, the performances, and collaborations…

We will see next year if with the new contract, some changes are made otherwise :deadbanana4:

Ok here we go:

• IVE continues to grow and get many sponsorships, but will also have their first less successful hit, the biggest scandal for the group yet also comes out

• aespa will get even bigger than they are currently and have a really strong 2023

• Loona messiness continues and more details about Blockberry come out

• Rosé leaves Blackpink, most likely group disbands not too long after

• Stray Kids breaks a BTS record and BTS stans get pressed

• NMIXX will finally release a good song

• Baemon will release later than YG promised, is less successful than anticipated esp in Korea, similar to TXT’s debut. The debut is still quite successful and decently successful WW

• New Jeans gets a hit even bigger than their hits from this year, they will also release their first full length album

• Le Sserafim’s first full-length album does really well, they visit USA and get a bigger fanbase internationally

• The Boys Planet group does better than Kep1er, but will also ultimately not be very big in Korea

• Another beloved 3rd Gen GG will disband, most likely MAMAMOO

Anyway, it appears that CSR have also scheduled a fansign event that starts an hour before the World Cup Uruguay-Korea group match.  So, are they planning on having a watch party or something?  That would be kinda cool, actually.  Watching a soccer game with idols.  But there are obvious perils with aligning a promo to the fate of the Korean national team.  It could get embarrassing.

On many levels.

:cm:

Okay, when I posted that, clearly I was not thinking about the impact a World Cup song in the hands of Yoon Sang's cronies would have on KBS' broadcast point system, irregardless of South Korea flaming out of the World Cup yet again.  All that's left now is for Portugal to avenge the World Cup group stage loss of 20 years ago to complete the promo.
